Maosaji — Restaurant in Chhattisgarh

I visited Maosaji in Bilaspur recently, and I would give it a 3 out of 5 stars. The place has a nice setup and is fairly popular, but my personal experience was a mix of good and disappointing moments.

I had ordered a chocolate pastry, paid for it, and then was told that it was “out of stock.” What didn’t sit right with me was that the pastry was still sitting in the display counter, clearly visible. It felt misleading, and I wish the staff had handled that situation with more transparency.

Since that didn’t work out, I decided to try some of their food items instead. The taste was average- nothing bad, but nothing memorable either. For the price point, I expected better flavor and freshness. It seemed more like a one-time try than something I’d crave again.

The only highlight of my visit was the donut. It was soft, fresh, and very affordable compared to everything else. If I ever stop by again, it would probably be just for the donuts.
