Decent place, Good for one time visit

This is a pure vegetarian restaurant and its more than 15 years old, known for its authentic taste. During my childhood I use to visit here a lot with my family members as this was only well known restaurant in Durg during that time. So after a long year gap, I visited here again to try out the good food and to take in the nostalgia.

If visiting for the first time, make sure to keep below points in the mind : - 🔸 This place only accepts cash and card payment. UPI payments are not allowed 🔸 This is a two floored restaurant, ground floor is non AC dining hall and first floor is ventilated one 🔸AC dining hall is specific to family, bachelors are not allowed

Food(🌟🌟🌟🌟/5):- Some of the items that we tried were Veg Kolhapuri, Chana Masala, Raita with Naan and Jeera Rice. Quantity and presentation of food items were good. Details on each items mentioned below:-

🔸Veg Kolhapuri: Hot and pungent flavoured. Thick masala with mixture of vegetables. taste was decent, but we felt that spicyness was missing.

🔸Chana Masala: Wonderfully spiced punjabi style chole. Loved the taste (maybe will try chola batura here someday 😝)

🔸Raita: Delicious and creamy raita. We enjoyed it.(A must try side dish)

🔸Jeera Rice: Fluffy, discrete and delicious

Service (🌟🌟/5):- Service is quick but there's a room for improvement on the service. The staff needs to be well trained.

Overall this place is good for one time visit. Also not a good place for bachelors or if you are planning with friends. You can consider this place if visiting with family. This place has more of a family...

The worst experience!

Today, I went to tripti for lunch with a friend. We ordered their bestseller dish Paneer Punjab Ki Kali, Veg Kofta and Butter Naan.

The table cloth was very dirt, it had stains all over it. The seat of chair was covered with curd.

As for the service, We wanted mineral water but the waiter didn’t even asked us about the water preference nor he served the water. We had to wait for more than 5-10 mins just for the waiter. He was rude and passed some comment about my friend. Overall worst service.

Food: Taste of Paneer Punjab Ki Kali was good.

Ambience and Environment: Average.

Seating: The restaurant has two floors. The old ground floor and a renovated first floor. Two major difference between both floors are: For some weird reason, they don’t give you finger bowl on first floor but based on the mood of waiter they might serve you that on ground floor. First Floor has all female staff and ground floor has all male staff. Although neither of them are receptive.

Payment method: In 2024, they have started accepting UPI payments, before this, you either have to pay through cash or debit card. (PS Credit card were not allowed).

Food delivery: They have recently stated taking orders on Swiggy and Zomato.

To conclude: Tripti was one of the oldest and best restaurants of the city. But with time, that’s no longer the case. Their food is good but everything else is just worst, be it service or atmosphere. Considering this, I wouldn’t recommend anyone to...

Additional Delights: Besides their excellent restaurant services, Tripti also offers a range of snacks, squashes, and other packed food items, making it a one-stop-shop for all your food needs.
