Pukhraj Restaurant — Restaurant in Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu

This restaurant is quite old in Daman and know for good veg food but on Date 04/09/25 we had bad experience on repeatedly of hair found in food one in rice bowl and one in chapati. This concern was brought to the management bec the manager was not well responsible and responded on the first hair observed and shown in rice he is old guy was mainly interested in making bills and saying sorry but he didn’t took little effort to see in the kitchen and make sure that other order which is about to serve should be in order but he ignored this point and so we found the hair in chapati. And here it was the end for our lunch and could not resist more there to continue we offered to pay what we had but as management to whom I complained on phone he said it our mistake n no need pls but he was sorry on that point. Later I met the owner and told to pls look into this matter where we also had complaint on the waiter who was not well hygiene and having big nails so owner he accepted all our complaints as they are running hospitality business may be this must be well in other hotels but this should be ignore . Kitchen should be cleaned well and hygiene should be top of want to maintain the same standard and name which it was before. Responsible person should be heir to handle well all type of guest in well manner and to the point of satisfaction. Rest the ambiance was good and management (owner) was polite but should not take chance and ignore...

"Without Mobile numbers your order will not be accepted" This is what I got to know for the first time in this world, this is the one and only restaurant where your personal data is taken and then the food is served. I must say they have the data privacy policy with them because if that data is leaked there will be a problem for lots of people who come and eat there. Although I refused to give numbers, the staff was very upset with that.

(Article 21 of the Constitution's guarantee of the right to life and personal freedom includes the right to privacy as an essential component.)

So finally the food was served but the mood was spoilt with all that arguments.

I hope the owners take this into the notice and allow people to have their food without asking for their personal information!!

What bothers me is when the person refuses to take orders because I don't want to give my mobile number.

After very unpleasant sequence of events, I along with my 16 graduate girl students got stuck for a while in the area with one little ill student at around 9 - 11pm. The restaurant went out of its way to provide us safe place to seat for a while without worrying much about security of my students. They went beyond this by providing us with blood pressure monitoring device for the ill student, chocolates and water bottles for all the students. They also asked if anyone wanted food without expecting any payment from us. They kept their kitchen open for us without knowing when we might leave. I was greatly obliged by very kind gesture of the owner the next morning when he asked one of his staff members to call me to inquire if me and all my students reached back safely to ahmedabad. If I could rate this restaurant for extending humanitarian help to most vulnerable fellow citizens at the time of need, I would rate it 100 stars. Thank you so much for standing by us at the time...
