Review of Chaayos Cafe at Pacific Mall
Chaayos Cafe, nestled on the lower ground floor of the Pacific Mall in Khayala, is a delightful haven for tea enthusiasts. Conveniently located next to Marks and Spencer, it offers a unique experience that caters to both casual visitors and dedicated tea lovers alike.
The standout feature at Chaayos is undoubtedly their tailor-made tea selection. The cafĂ© takes pride in allowing customers to personalize their drinks, with a variety of fresh ingredients such as ginger, elaichi (cardamom), and cinnamon to choose from. This flexibility means you can craft the perfect cup to suit your taste preferencesâwhether you enjoy a zesty kick or a sweet, aromatic blend. The extensive menu of combinations ensures that there's something for everyone, making each visit an opportunity to explore new flavors.
Service at Chaayos can vary; while some staff members exude professionalism and enthusiasm, others might be a tad less engaged. However, overall, the service quality is satisfactory, and the staff is generally friendly and accommodating. Itâs worth noting that the cafĂ© tends to get busy during peak hours, and itâs not uncommon to encounter a wait for a table. But the vibrant atmosphere is part of its charm, and the ambiance makes the wait worthwhile.
In terms of food, Chaayos offers a good selection of snacks and small meals that appear to be quite popular with patrons, although I havenât personally sampled any dishes. The cafĂ© seems to have struck a balance between quality beverages and a tempting food menu that keeps customers coming back for more.
One of the most commendable aspects of Chaayos Cafe is its commitment to health and hygiene. Itâs reassuring to observe staff members actively engaging in cleaning and maintaining the seating area, which enhances the overall dining experience.
As my regular tea break spot, Chaayos Cafe has become a comforting retreat where I can unwind and enjoy a bespoke tea. Whether youâre in the mood for a classic chai or something with a unique twist, Chaayos has you covered. If youâre in the area, I highly recommend dropping by for a cup of your favorite blendâyou wonât be...

Rating: â â âââ
I recently visited Chaayos with high expectations, but unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired. Here's why:
Inconsistent Tea Quality: The cornerstone of Chaayos is its tea, and I was expecting a rich, flavorful cup. However, the tea I ordered tasted watered down and lacked the promised authenticity.
Overpriced Menu: The menu prices seemed disproportionately high for the portion sizes and quality of food and beverages offered. It's hard to justify paying a premium for what felt like average tea and snacks.
Slow Service: Despite the restaurant being relatively empty, the service was surprisingly slow. It took an unusually long time for our order to arrive, and we had to remind the staff multiple times.
Uncomfortable Seating: The seating arrangements felt cramped and uncomfortable, making it difficult to enjoy the meal in a relaxed manner.
Limited Vegetarian Options: As a vegetarian, I was disappointed by the limited variety of vegetarian dishes on the menu. It would be great if they could expand their options to cater to a wider audience.
Overall, my visit to Chaayos was not the delightful tea experience I had hoped for. It fell short in terms of taste, value for money, service, and ambiance. I hope they can improve in these areas to regain their reputation for quality...
