During my undergraduate days (2007–2010), Gupta Kachori Vala was just about 300 meters from my college, and it became a regular stop for me on my way back. Their kachori had a distinct taste and flavor that set it apart, the perfect level of sikaai (browning) and an outstanding quality of raayta that complemented it beautifully.
Recently, after more than a decade and a half, I happened to pass through Chirag Delhi and decided to relive those memories. Sadly, I learned that the original owner from my college days had recently passed away, and now his children are carrying the legacy forward. I ordered a few kachoris and was amazed to find that the taste, crunchiness, and quality of raayta are still exactly the same as they were 15 years ago.
Consistency like this is rare in the food business, and Gupta Kachori Vala proves that maintaining the same flavor, texture, and quality over the years is the real key to success. Hats off to them for preserving this culinary gem...
