GHARANA — Restaurant in Diamond Harbour

Gharana we visited a number of times as my family lives in the locality. They serve good Chinese and indian tandoor food and now they also added continental foods as well. This time we ordered Chinese. Chilli dry fish and reshmi kabab as starters. Then mixed chowmin and mixed fried rice accompanied with garlic chicken. I have tried their mixed chow earlier also. I can tell you the best mixed chow you can have in this whole Diamond Harbour is here only. Its just a treat to you taste buds. Rest were also quite good. Their service is good. You need to wait in your seat for 30 mins to get your order and then starters and main course will come one after another without making you wait. Overall ambience is good and comfortable seating. We went to this restaurant two days back. It was an awesome experience. We ordered malai kebab and gandharaj fish as starters. Each kabab plate contains, 6 pieces of the items. The Kabab taste was very good. The main course we ordered were Garlic Naan, Tandoori Roti, Chicken Patiala. Again, all of the food tasted superb. The price of the food compared to its quantity and quality is reasonably lower than other places.

Apart from the above, we feel really grateful to this restaurant because of their kindness. My dad has food restrictions for some medical issues. We requested, if it is possible to arrange something for my dad. And they have arranged that for us. This was a great relief for us otherwise it would be hard for us to arrange food for my dad.

Went to this multi-cuisine restaurant on 2nd October. It was moderately crowded. However, the restaurant was running on backup power due to power cut, making it difficult for us to sit there in the heat.

Thankfully, the power came back after a time, and they switched on the AC.

At Gharana, we ordered the following items:

Chicken Biryani Chicken Fried Rice Sliced Chicken in Garlic Sauce (gravy)

All the items tasted nice. I liked the fact that they give an egg, a small bowl of raita and some green salad on the side along with the chicken biryani.

The fried rice was well-cooked and it had enough chunks of chicken and egg. I also liked the garlic chicken.
