Firstly I would like to share my experience.. We were 4 people went to have a nice dinner. The place was already crowdy so we had to wait, and waiting room was also very nice and was with AC. The head Stewart booked our name on the waiting list on his tablet and called us when our turn came. We ordered masala papad, Shanghai Sizzler and jalapeno cheeze rolls with dips for starters. Papad and cheeze rolls came very quickly sizzler came after some time but quickly than I had seen in other restaurants. Masala Papad was good. Jalapeno cheeze rolls were very nice and were liked by all, 6 shots of which came (yes they are served in a small glass and are called shots). Shanghai Sizzler was great, it had fried rice, noodles and Manchurian, and Manchurian was the best I have ever had in any restaurant and it was also more in quantity so everyone had quite a share of it Thereafter we ordered main course Paneer Lucknawi we were near about to full but wanted to complete the dinner stages so we went for the main course also along with 3 naan and 1 tanduri roti. Paneer was good but everyone was full about now so no-one became much fond of it, lastly it couldn't be completely eaten so we asked the waiter for pack the rest of the curry. But the most fascinating thing was the naan was very thin, not like other restaurants where it is so thick that you aren't able to eat much of the curry and get full easily by eating naans, here it was rumali roti like thin. We also ordered one butter milk, one salted lassi and lemon soda. Salted lassi disappointed me because it was just salted curd😑, although others seemed to enjoy their share of drinks. Talking about the atmosphere it was nice with light music and furniture was very well and comfortable and looking good also. A mixture of red and brown looked good in the dark. As its name suggests it was a terracotta restaurant with many terracotta designs. Staff was convenient and in that much rush so I think its kind of commendable. I had nice dinner there. You can also have some parties arranged here, I saw someone's birthday celebration just...
Read moreCant figure out why this place has good reviews. Food was pathetic. The decor was ok, lighting was too dim even to see the menu clearly, no cloth napkins just some tissues, service was ok, portion sizes on the smaller side, prices high… all these can be overlooked if the food was great, sadly it was far from it. The sugarcane ginger lime juice was the only decent thing we had there. The love in terracota mocktail or something sounding like that ( waiter’s recommendation when we asked for a suggestion) was like drinking fizzy sugar syrup, could not tolerate beyond a few sips. The khow suey soup was not bad but tasted nothing like khow suey which should be coconut based, this was more like dal shorba. The honey chilli lotus stem was burnt. Consistency of raw fryums that was burnt and covered in manchurian sauce. The shanghai dimsums were the most terrible. For Rs 510, one gets 6 soggy dumplings that are falling apart, filled with some gooey spicy paste that has has no flavour accompanied by even more spicy sauces. The cottage cheese bao was nothing but chilli paneer filled in to semi cooked ( ? Frozen and thawed kulchas or pizza bases) and not actual bao buns. After this fiasco, we were in no mood to try any mains or desserts. Having spent well over Rs 2000 on just soup and starters for 2 of us, the experience literally left us with a bad taste in the mouth. We had a meetha pan in the shop below the restaurant to cleanse our palate.
If at all one has to give the benefit of the doubt, I would say that the chef who prepares pan asian food usually must have been on leave on a Monday, having worked on the weekend. Just...
Read moreThe ambience is very good and the food here is good too. I went there with my family and i ordered the following 4 cheese ravioli- this was great, really cheesy and the ravioli was actually good Fiery pizza- It was a total bummer. It didnt taste good at all for the price Alio olio spaghetti- It was quite good Mexican platter- I expected it to be better, it was just okay Jalapeno cheese rolls- These were good too
We faced some other problems when we were there. They didnt serve beverages which we ordered, we had to ask them multiple times before they eventually served. I mean beverages is something which is served as soon as possible usually its the first thing which is served. Other thing was that we paid the bill thorough dineout app but somehow the restaurant didnt get the payment even though it was showing payment successful in the app. We contacted customer support and they confirmed that the payment was successful. But they didn't let us go until they recieved the payment. They were having issues with dineout which wasnt our fault. We waited there for atleast 20mins which was really frustrating, i had an appointment with someone for which i got late.
I would have given 2 starts just for this reason. The only reason im giving it 3 stars is because it has really excellent ambience and great variety of food tho most of it is just okaish. Still a good place to go with...
