Amsol — Restaurant in Goa

Visited Amsol today evening. We were one of the first few customers of the evening. Everything about the restaurant was neat and tidy. Service was prompt. We had the lepo rawa fry, calamari batter fry, chicken lollipops and some beverages as starters. For the main course we had prawn curry with plain rice, mackerel recheado and a pasta in white sauce dish for my friend. Ending the evening with a few mocktails. Service was on point throughout the evening. About the food each dish was as good if not better then the preceding dish. Their lepo rawa fry was of good portion size for the price as was the size of the fish. The same could be said about the calamari batter fry, crispy light golden batter with a soft succulent piece of calamari inside, the chicken lollipops were a delight as well, the batter to meat proportion was spot on as was the accompaniments. The mains that I had were absolutely delicious. The prawn curry had a LOT of medium sized prawns in it, the curry had a really nice oomph to it ( I would've been pleased to just have the prawn curry with a pao or 2, it was that amazing) I had mine with piping hot well cooked rice. The mackerel recheado was another hit with me, recheado masala on both sides of the fishes and fried so well that you have the crispy skin of the fish on the outside and the juicy flesh of the fish saturated in the recheado masala on the inside. My friend had the pasta in white sauce and he really enjoyed the dish as well. Amsol is one of the better ones for me....

Ambiance: We visited this place for dinner. At first sight, we liked the place, it has semi-open-air seating, with decent lighting, also this place looks nice and spacious. This place has decent seating arrangements and also has multiple photobooth spots. When we visited the place there was a birthday party going on. The place looked quite lively, there were families and couples as well. One more thing to add here they have live music and live TV stream as well.

Food: I have found the food here is good. And I have also found that this place is a complete value for money. We've ordered a mix of veg/non-veg items. Unfortunately, our friends didn't like the non-veg items, although we liked veg items, especially the Pasta, it was delicious. Overall, all the food items were tasty, and we were all satisfied.

Staff: Everything was so good but unfortunately I have found that our attendee was a bit rude, even while taking the order if we ask him anything about menu items etc, he replied quite surprisingly. Nothing serious it was just surprising to see the place is quite good.

Washroom: We have used both the Washrooms and the Handwash area. Both of them were spacious, neat, and clean. Exactly where I prefer, away from the main dining area.

Verdict: I would personally suggest visiting this place for the delicious food, nice ambiance, and...

As i have given 3 star is only because of food. Food is tasty but when someone goes to the restaurant also hygiene and ambiance matters. We Had stopped for Lunch - Staff was very nice when we entered, we made ourselves comfortable and given order for food. Once the food was served all flies was sitting on the food , looking at this we asked the waiter to put some coil .. but yet the files was still coming … we still tired to adjust but at last we could not and asked for the bill, while paying I complained to the person who came to charge the bill but his reaction was like nothing. No matter how good looking is the place and tasty food,,,,,,hygiene matters and even after complaining the staff did nothing .. it’s very rude…. And this is not acceptable . Personally I won’t recommend this restaurant to anyone very...
