Absolutely disappointing. Irredeemable. I have been here before and I remember liking it but today it was just unforgivable.
Masala dosa had ridiculously less masala in it, was dripping with oil and the worst part, was made of bland, unfermented (without khameer) batter.
Mysore Masala dosa has weird things like capsicum, yellow bell pepper and other veggies that are NEVER put in mysore masala. It lacked the basic favour of the masala that traditionally this dosa is hknown for. Again, it was made with unfermented batter and was very oily.
Two stars because the sambhar and chutneys were good.
Please improve the basic batter, the basics of dosa making and quality significantly. If I wanted to eat something this bad I would've gone to Navtara.
Edit : As a response to your weirdly defensive reply: I'm glad you enquired about the batter and everything but I know what I tasted. I also wrote other things, about the oil and the masala but you haven't said anything about it. I even talked to you about the extra oil and showed you the tissue paper when I was there. I'm assuming you enquired about that too and it was also perfectly fine. I have been cooking for more than 15 years myself. I grew up on dosa and there are very few things in life I value more than a good dosa. Dosa is sacred to me which is why I'm even replying. I can only write what I felt. It's upto you to improve or get defensive about it or deny it. Sadly, I can't change that. About why I didn't write a review when I liked it, it's because I visited your place sometime last year or the year before that and I very rarely write a review after visiting a place just once. I write a review after trying most places at least twice or thrice. So yeah, your dosa was bad, I stand by every single word I wrote and good luck with your business with...
Read moreThis place was built in just a couple of months. and this is what we saw: there are no doors in the toilet)) There is no partition in the toilet. You will perform the act of defecation in the company of other guests. this is a surprise)) there will be other surprises too, although the owners will prefer not to notice them.
There are plastic flowers on the tables, it’s cute. The picture is big, out of place... it would be better if there was a large selection of dosas, but we only tried two. And perhaps we’ll stop our acquaintance here. It was beautifully presented and it was delicious, no quibbles, we liked the dosas. It's great that they serve three sauces. I didn’t like the fact that we ordered one of them dosa, but they brought us another one that was twice as expensive for 400 rupees! They did not comment on this mistake, they simply remained silent... so I was left with such an aftertaste without the desire to return. Expensive dishes could be served on high-quality ceramic plates rather than plastic - it’s strange that this doesn’t seem obvious...
