🌅 Evening Beautiful - Saiba Bar and Restaurant – Cuchelim, Goa 🌴
Tucked away in the heart of Cuchelim, Saiba Bar and Restaurant turned out to be the perfect pick for a laid-back yet satisfying evening. Here’s a quick rundown of our experience – food, vibes, and value 👇
🍽️ What We Ordered: • Squids Golden Fry – Crispy, well-seasoned, and addictive! Each piece was fried to golden perfection and paired beautifully with creamy mayo. A coastal winner. • Chicken Fried Rice – Classic and flavorful, loaded with just the right amount of chicken, veggies, and that smoky wok aroma. Comfort food done right. • Butter Chicken – Creamy, rich, and full of flavor. The gravy was thick and luscious, ideal to scoop up with naan. • Cheese Garlic Naan – Soft, cheesy, with a garlic punch that stole the show!
🥂 Drinks:
We kept it simple with Lime Water, Lime Soda, Bottled Water, and a small Budweiser – all served chilled and timely.
💰 Total Bill: ₹1250 (for 5 items from the food menu + 4 drinks) – Totally worth it for the quantity, quality, and service.
🌟 Ambience & Service:
The atmosphere was relaxed with a casual Goan bar vibe. Service was quick, staff was polite, and the table was well managed. A great spot to chill with friends or grab a hearty meal without burning a hole in your pocket.

Saiba is quite a popular spot in Mapusa, and that shows — the place gets very crowded during lunch hours. Expect a wait time of 15–20 minutes or more just to get a table, especially on weekends. One drawback is the limited parking space, which can be a bit inconvenient.
The food is overall decent, though not exceptional. I tried the Kingfish Thali (around ₹300 after GST). The portion size was generous — the kingfish was quite big — but unfortunately, the taste didn’t live up to expectations. Definitely room for improvement there.
I also ordered Tandoori Prawns. While they tasted fine (mostly just tandoori masala flavor), I was disappointed to see artificial food coloring used — something I personally dislike.
On the brighter side, the service was excellent — fast, attentive, and better than expected for such a busy place.
Pros: ✔ Popular and well-known ✔ Generous portions ✔ Excellent service
Cons: ✘ Limited parking ✘ Long wait times during lunch ✘ Use of food coloring in some dishes ✘ Taste doesn’t always match the hype
Would recommend if you're in the area and don’t mind the wait — just manage your expectations...

Firstly, I must say that the food was truly exceptional in every aspect. The quality, quantity, taste, rate, and service were all top-notch. The team really knows how to deliver a satisfying culinary experience.
While the ambience may not be overly fancy, it is easily overlooked when considering the outstanding qualities of the food. The focus on quality, quantity, taste, rate, and service truly compensates for any shortcomings in the decor.
Furthermore, I must commend the staff for their polite and attentive service. They went above and beyond to ensure a pleasant dining experience, which added an extra touch of excellence to the overall visit.
In conclusion, I highly recommend this establishment to anyone visiting Goa. I encourage everyone to at least pay a visit here once during their time in the area. You won't be...
