Worst Experience Ever – A Big Scam in the Name of Seafood! I visited Sea Salt Bar & Restaurant in Goa because I was extremely hungry and it looked decent from outside. But I had the worst experience of my life here. We saw Fish Thali on the menu listed at ₹150 and ₹270. But when I asked about the thali, they brought one which cost ₹500 – without clearly informing what’s included or why it’s so overpriced. To make it worse, the fish served was not kingfish as expected, it was some cheap, old, smelly sadifish that tasted horrible and stale. It felt like I was eating food that had been reheated from the previous day. My friend ordered Chicken Chilly Dry Fry and even that was below average. Now I’m suffering from stomach pain, and I regret eating even a single bite. The place charged us a total of ₹840 for this terrible experience. Total waste of money, time, and health. WARNING to families and parents: Please don’t bring your kids here – the food is unhygienic and unhealthy. If you care about your health, stay away from this place. I will never visit this restaurant again and I strongly suggest others to avoid it too.

Sea Salt Bar and Restaurant in Baga stands out as a true family friendly haven, celebrated by locals and travelers for its laid back ambience and hearty Goan fare. The genuinely welcoming environment makes it a comfortable spot for families and groups, with ample open seating and charming rustic decor. The highlight here is the famous Goan Fish Thali, fresh, flavorful, and generous in portion. The thali typically features perfectly fried local fish, aromatic fish curry, tangy sol kadi, rice, and classic sides, delivering an authentic Goan coastal experience at very reasonable prices. Many guests also praise the prawn dishes and sizzlers for their spice and freshness. Sea Salt also excels with its North Indian menu, with favorites like butter chicken, biryani, and rich paneer curries, making sure every palate is well-catered for. The staff’s friendly attitude and prompt service add to the restaurant’s charm.Whether you crave homestyle Goan seafood or comforting North Indian classics, Sea Salt Bar and Restaurant offers tasty food, great value, and a welcoming setting for memorable meals in Baga.

In short: “Good food at an affordable price” Made two visits: One for dinner, another during lunch the next day (Saturday and Sunday) Ambiance (4/5) They had live music during dinner, comfy seating, and sufficient lighting. There’s also a great option to sit on the riverside across the road, which for me was a peaceful option, away from all the bustle. Food (4/5) + The Goan Fish Thali was an option I selected to taste the local preparation, and it was delightful. There was a fried fish, a fish curry, and dried prawns, along with some veggies. + Other amazing options I had included Chicken Fried Rice, Chicken Biriyani, and Veg Biriyani. Each one tasted delicious. - The Veg Pulao however was a disappointing dish. Quantity: One dish was sufficient to serve one and a half person Price: Very affordable, which is why we chose Sea Salt * Was surprised that boiled water would not be provided. It was either Tap water or pay for a Bottled water. I am not certain how things are in Goa, but this was something which disappointed me though.

This is one of the worst restaurant in North Goa. The staff is very rude. They said, they'll serve in 15 mins but actually they took 50 mins to serve. We ordered kingfish (surmai) thali. The waiter said kingfish's rate is as per size for which he said the biggest size will charge 650rs and gave us the medium sized kingfish and he just disappeared. (Firstly he gave us the wrong order and our food was replaced, you can see how attentive they are!) We lost our patience and started to eat our food. The taste of kingfish was worst. It was too salty and oily. Other items were also tasteless. At the time of payment when he appeared to give us the bill we said that the size of kingfish was not as you have mentioned and the taste was not satisfactory, we also asked him to reduce the bill amount but he was rudely saying this is QR scanner and just pay this amount. I told him that I want have a word with your manager, but he was too ignorant to call the manager and instead asked us rudely to pay whatever the amount was. Anyway, I will never recommend this restaurant to anyone. Worst taste,...
