This place is a must visit.

The food is super yummy. Everything they have on their menu is finger licking good. We loved the place soo much that we visited 2 days back to back.

The ambience, food, music, drinks, dessert everything was 5 star.

Niranjan was so kind and made sure we had an amazing time while we were there.

Things we ordered -

1. Spiced chicken A must try starter which they make using there home-made spicy which makes it extra special and yummy.

2. Cheese corn balls One of the best I have ever had.

3. Bangada Tawa Fry The fish was perfectly cooked and the home made masala which was used was a treat for the tongue.

4. Fish Thali A perfect balance of taste, flavours and quantity, the thali is highly recommended.

5. Kurkurthi Chicken Spicy and crispy chicken along with this amazing dip.

6. Silverlight Butter chicken One of the best butter chicken I have ever had.

If you’re wondering where to eat this weekend, how about going beyond the restaurants running ads on Instagram and support a local one this time around. Shalini Bar and Restaurant is located in Karaswada, Mapusa and is one of the more comfortable, family style spots to dine at. It is run by the enterprising Niranjan who decided to breathe some life into his family’s restaurant that was just about surviving, after quitting his job at a 5-star resort. The masalas are made by his mother and cocktails are made by him - I’d definitely suggest a feni cocktail called Funky Monk. The fried prawns and recheado kingfish + chonak were excellent. The afghan chicken was a bit over cooked and chewy. Service was very fast!

I didn’t try as much as I would have liked as I was heading elsewhere after visiting this restaurant, but the place was full of college kids and is doing well with hard work and great...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Shalini Bar and Restaurant, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience! The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was top-notch.

The owner was incredibly humble and welcoming, making us feel right at home. Our waiter was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, ensuring that our needs were met throughout the meal.

We ordered the Prawns rachedo rava fry, Squid Rachedo Fry, and Chonak Fry, and each dish exceeded our expectations. The flavors were rich, the portions were generous, and the presentation was impressive.

Overall, I highly recommend Shalini Bar and Restaurant for its outstanding cuisine, excellent service, and warm hospitality. We can't wait to go back and try more of their...
