Susegado — Restaurant in Goa

Somewhat disappointing experience. Ambience is great, service was nice, but quality of food is not worth the high price. We ordered sushi, ceviche, pad thai, green curry, and goan fish curry - all items were good, no complaints with these. Japanese pork belly: this one was unacceptable. Had to send it back as the food was cold. Second time, it was served slightly warmer but a few pieces were still cold again. For dessert, we wanted to try wasabi and pickled ginger cheesecake. It was literally plain with the barest hint of wasabi flavour and zero ginger taste. Not a bad cheesecake by any means, but the name was a bit misleading ... We thought it was a regular cheesecake! Bill came out to 13K ish in total including all above items and 3-4 mocktails. The drinks were extremely expensive considering how "ok" they were. Food was good, the issues mentioned above notwithstanding. On the whole: you are paying for a five star setting and ambience, but food wise, wouldn't be my top...

We went to Susegado after reading great reviews online. But we were surely not prepared for the amazing experience that lay ahead. We had fresh catch of the day Prawns with butter garlic and recheado sauces on the side. In drinks, we had virgin pina colada and garden fresh, all based on the amazing recommendations of Sumit from their team.

We made a second visit based on our amazing experience the first time. Wonderful sunset views and the unique champagne ceremony they have in the evening. Special shoutout to Sumit , Onkar and Chef Ravinder. Ravinder who is an expert in sea food cuisine was very polite and friendly and gave awesome recommendations. All and all the staff there including the lady at reservation is fantastic!

The property is also very beautiful and the view from susegado is exceptional! MUST TRY for anyone visiting South Goa. Surely going back there next time...

I wish I could give this place 6 stars out of 5. Susegado transports you to another world. Why can’t more places on the beach be like Susegado! Pristine clean beach, perfect views of the sea, the sky and the surroundings. Attentive, knowledgeable and courteous serving (especial mention of Omkar, wait staff). We were served champagne even though we missed the champagne tasting session just by a few minutes. My whisky sour was a tad weak. Feedback was asked, taken and the cocktail fixed immediately. Food portions are right and the quality is fork licking good. Ajay, another waitstaff offered to take out photos against the setting Sun (why don’t other places follow this practice I wonder) and he did an amazing job. We left the places feeling good with a smile on our faces. Now that’s what I call a true blue 5 star hospitality. Hats off to the team and management...
