Once upon a time, This place was one of my favorite places in South Goa. I visited in 2023 and 2024, and back then, everything about it was amazing—the food, the service, and the overall experience. Unfortunately, my recent visit left me feeling disappointed.
The quality of the food has noticeably declined, and it feels like the focus has shifted away from authenticity. What was once exceptional is now just average, with the thin crust being one of the only things that stands out. I had high expectations, but the experience didn’t live up to them.
Even the staff seemed less kind and welcoming, which added to the disappointment. Perhaps the growing emphasis on profits has taken away the charm this place once had. It’s disheartening to see genuine, quality food slowly fading away in South Goa.
I really hope The Zest can return to the amazing standards it once upheld.
WOW, I can clearly see how much has changed. The picture I shared is from your restaurant, and you can also refer to the other two pictures for comparison. If necessary, I can provide the bill as well.
Additionally, I am attaching my previous comment about Agonda, which I shared one year ago. I have been staying in this community for over 2.5 years, and it feels disheartening that you seem unaware of your regular patrons, instead focusing on a specific group of audience. While this may work for you and your restaurant, I believe it’s important to share the facts openly.
If you feel my comment is inappropriate, feel free to remove it. However, I stand by my...

We stayed here for 4 days, and had all our breakfast here. We had a lot planned on our itinerary for South Goa but when we reached the property we decided to spend most of our time here.
The staff here is super polite and helpful. RD and Hansraj both were very supportive and took good care of us. They know what the customers want during vacation and they help them with utmost warmth and hospitality, which makes us feel good to return to this property again in the near future.
Coming to the food, we tried their Mushroom toast, Yellow Smoothie bowl, Burrito, Mushroom and garlic pizza, Baked lasagna and many fresh juices and coffee. None of the food disappointed us, especially me who has typical Indian taste buds liked everything. I would highly recommend trying their smoothie bowl and mushroom toast.
Talking about the stay, we took the cafe facing beach hut and the aesthetic of the room was very good. The beds were comfortable and each room had its own balcony to chill and relax. Overall 10/10 for me!
The cafe aesthetic is also very chill and relaxing. Right on the talpona beach which is so peaceful and has no crowd at all, which adds to the peace of the property.
This place is a must visit for anyone visiting south goa and who wants to have a...
