I was really excited when I found out that there's finally a restaurant in Rajkot which offers Kerala Meals. So finally went there for lunch on Jan 4 (Sunday) to check it out. What did I order: Rice Saapad (Poriyal, Avial, Rice, Sambar, Rasam, Thair, Pappadam) How much: INR 150 + taxes How was it: I was pretty much disappointed because I went there expecting authentic Kerala taste and food. However, it didn't match my expectations because: - rasam had probably 20-30% extra tomatoes, so it tasted like soup with South Indian spices. - there was no Kerala rice (thick rice grains) or red rice. They only had the regular rice. - sambar was very bland, should have had a lot more taste. I did share this feedback and was told that the reason for this could be power cut at the time of cooking and a large group order. However, I expect any good chef to taate his/her preparation before serving it. On the other hand, the unlimited meal (4 types of dosa, 2 types of uthappam, appam, kesari, buttermilk, guntur idli) was decent but there's room for improvement in the dosas: - the size of the dosas should be smaller so that people can taste all types of dosas. - the dosas ought to be a bit crispier, they even lacked the reddish lustre which dosas should usually have. Overall, I wouldn't recommend going there for saapad but you should definitely try out the other varieties (dosa, uthappam, appam, puttu, idli). Would definitely be better than South Indian served at most other restaurants in Rajkot. I hope they consider the feedback and strive to achieve perfection gradually, over time.

This is a good place for eating South-Indian cuisine. The place is hygienic and clean. We ordered Malabar Paratha With Kurma (1 plate) and (1 plate) of Kurmura Dhosa which was tasty and scrumptious as we thought. They accept payment via UPI and card as well as cash so no need to worry at all. Surprisingly, when we were eating the meal one waiter came at us and asking polity way 'is it good or and feedback on the than feel free to share with us either it good or bad'. This kind of way to ask is quite impressive because we hardly heard about that kind of behavior especially in the state like Gujarat. In terms of service, it was just quite good. We were given small towels to clean our hands after dining. Our waitress was quite helpful and also patient. Overall good experience.

Restaurant is for totally South Indian food and service is too quick it won't take much time. Few items does take time to prepare at that time, servers awares you that it will take some time to prepare. Food items are also not so expensive. Jain is also serve you if you recommend during your order. Servers are on their toes and they attend you for whole time. Instead of trying on dessert I must say do try Pineapple kesari. On Sunday they don't take phone booking so there is waiting of 30 minutes. Manager also ask your review and any suggestions during your meal.

22 Parallel is a fantastic South Indian restaurant that stands out as a culinary haven for anyone craving authentic flavors. From the moment you step inside, the welcoming atmosphere and elegant decor set the stage for a memorable dining experience.

The menu at 22 Parallel is a celebration of South Indian cuisine, offering a wide array of dishes that cater to both traditional tastes and modern palates. The dosas are a must-try, with a variety of fillings and preparations that showcase the restaurant's dedication to quality and authenticity. The crispiness of the dosa paired with perfectly spiced fillings makes each bite a delight.

The idlis and vadas are equally impressive, cooked to perfection and served with a trio of chutneys that add a burst of flavor to every bite. The sambar, rich and aromatic, complements these dishes beautifully, making for a satisfying and hearty meal.

One of the highlights of 22 Parallel is their thali, which offers a generous assortment of South Indian specialties. Each component of the thali is meticulously prepared, providing a well-rounded and fulfilling dining experience that truly represents the essence of South Indian cuisine.

The service at 22 Parallel is exceptional, with friendly and attentive staff who are always ready to make recommendations and ensure that your dining experience is enjoyable. The restaurant's commitment to using fresh ingredients and traditional cooking methods is evident in every dish, making it a standout choice for anyone seeking an authentic taste of South India.

In addition to its outstanding food, 22 Parallel boasts a comfortable and inviting ambiance, making it an ideal spot for family gatherings, casual lunches, or intimate dinners. Whether you are a longtime fan of South Indian cuisine or a newcomer eager to explore, 22 Parallel offers an unparalleled dining experience that is sure to leave a...

We had good food here, ordered 4 dosas among 3 of us. One of us ordered a filter coffee, which happened to be cold. We told the server that its not hot, he said "OK shall I get you another one" we said OK and left the glass in the plate which was then cleared. We waited till all of us finished and reminded the server that our coffee is still pending. He went and called a nepali waiter who started interrogating us, these are the questions he asked my mother: When did you order the coffee? Did you return the coffee ? Did you return the coffee after 15 minutes, next time please make sure you return it immediately The server is saying you returned an empty cup, was that the case? You should have told us immediately if it was cold.

I explained to him that we told the server immediately, then he called the server again and cross-questioned him in front of us to check if we were saying the truth.

We were quite offended after this and asked him to cancel the coffee and left.

Not a good end to the evening. My request to the management, your waiters seem very disinterested in their job and it is very obvious that they don't care about the customer experience.

Your kitchen is doing a fantastic job, but your customer facing team treats customers like thieves.

My bill amount was rs 777, why would I go through the pain to lie about a 70 rs coffee.

I don't know if I will visit again. Please do check with the nepali waiter who treated my senior citizen mother like a thief, and try to inculcate some sense into him.

You can respond to my review if you'd like more details about my not-so-great evening. I'm happy to call you and give you the details if that helps you...
