Overhyped and their page is full of fake reviews. Food is average and extremely overpriced. Full of oil and quality is not good.
Honest feedback always hurts. Pictures attached for proof.
Ala Carte (Steam Rice 100/-, Jhuri Aloo Bhaja 120/-, Shobzi diye Bhaja Moong Dal 220/-, Kach Kolar Kofta Curry 250/-, Thakur Bari Chanar Dalna 330/-, Nabadweep Mishti Doi 450/-) Total cost 1470/-
Review - 1/5 Jhuri aloo bhaja was burnt, Steam rice had hair in it, Dal was average, Kofta Curry was full of oil and salty, Chanar Dalna had more oil than gravy and was extremely salty, mishti doi was sour. After letting them know, there was no compensation or replacement from their side for this order except for rice. They provided refund of jhuri aloo bhaja.
They seem to waste immense amount of oil/ghee and even after notifying them multiple times, all food items are full of oil and salt.
The food is not satisfactory and is a disappointment each time. We thought the quality might improve in the next order but it never does. Giving them feedback also doesn't have any effect.
Last order 450/- mishti doi was completely wasted and no compensation was provided. They insisted that the curd was not sour and the entire container of doi was returned to them but they didn't do anything. Their excuses was that the other customers did not complain.
It is disappointing to see that people who eat from here don't actually know what real bengali food is.
Nabadweep doi was also wasted in our last order.

Read moreLast week ordered from Bangla Restaurant and honestly, it felt like a warm hug from home. I went for their Kolkata-style Mutton Biryani and Sorshe Bata Diye Pabda, and both dishes hit the mark perfectly.
The biryani was super aromatic — soft, long-grain rice with that signature Kolkata touch of subtle sweetness, rose water, and the essential aloo! The mutton was tender and juicy, and I could tell it had been slow-cooked with love. It wasn’t too oily or spicy — just the right balance. So comforting!
The Pabda in mustard gravy was an absolute winner. The mustard paste had that sharp kick that I love, but it wasn’t overpowering. The fish was fresh and perfectly cooked — soft, flaky, and soaked in the flavour of the mustard and green chilies. It reminded me of Sunday lunches at home.
Also, props to them for neat packaging and timely delivery. Everything was still warm, no spills, and the portions were quite generous.
If you’re someone who misses authentic Bengali food or just wants to try something beyond the usual fare, definitely give this place a go. It’s the kind of food that makes you pause mid-bite and smile.
