Very very bad experience!
I recently visited this Dosa Charcoal branch, and unfortunately, it turned out to be one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. From the moment the food arrived, everything just kept getting worse.
Let’s start with the Green Gotala — it was absolutely disappointing. Instead of the rich, flavorful dish you expect, it felt like I was served floating cheese on water. There was no proper texture, no balance of flavors, and frankly, it was almost inedible.
Moving on to the Sambhar and Chutney — these are usually the heart and soul of any South Indian meal. Here, they were completely watery and tasteless, like someone just mixed spices with water and served it. No depth, no richness, no authenticity. It genuinely felt like no effort had gone into the preparation.
And with all this, the prices were shockingly high. You are paying a premium expecting at least decent quality food and service, but what you get is no taste, no satisfaction, and sheer disappointment.
When we complained to the owner about this awful experience, instead of showing genuine concern, they simply tried to convince us with excuses — mentioning that the staff was less and trying to justify the poor service and food. Instead of taking responsibility or offering any real solution, it felt like they were just brushing off our concerns.
If you’re thinking of visiting a Dosa Charcoal outlet, I would strongly suggest that you choose another branch. This particular branch is just not worth your time or money.
On a slightly positive note, there was ample parking space, and the environment was cozy. But sadly, good parking and ambiance cannot make up for terrible food and disappointing service. No matter how comfortable the surroundings, the food and service will completely ruin your satisfaction and leave you regretting the money you spent.
