3.5 ⭐ for taste. Our family fav has been ghe jumbo grilled sandwich for years now. However, the taste has degraded a bit considering that they don't put the amount of stuffing they used to 3 years ago, and so it tastes dry. 4 ⭐ for affordability using coupons. BOGO 2⭐ for service. When the salesperson came to sell coupon booklets, he'd mentioned that we'd have to pay ₹20 extra for packing material for takeaways, which will be waived off if we brought our own packing material. And these days we've been ordering from them a lot, and hence I saved the boxes(which were practically not spoilt). The first two times I asked them to give the sandwiches in the boxes I brought, they made an excuse that they've packed it and now i'd have to pay for it. Today when i ordered and asked them over the phone to not pack them, and that I'll get the boxes to pack, THEY SAID I'D HAVE TO ANYWAY PAY FOR THE PACKING MATERIAL CUZ THAT'S THE RULE. I ARGUED AND THEY SAID I'D HAVE TO WAIT MORE! WHAT FOR? DUE TO SOME CONSTRUCTED REASON THAT IT WAS GOING TO BE MY BOXES AND SO I'LL HAVE TO WAIT. NOW I ASKED FOR AN EXPLANATION, AND HE COULDN'T ACTUALLY MAKE A VALID EXCUSE AND SO HE SAID THAT THEY CAN ONLY START MAKING IT ONCE I REACH THE PLACE AND GIVE THEM THE BOXES. I WAS RIGHT NEXT DOOR AND SAID THAT I'LL REACH IN 2 MINUTES, AND I AM FINE IF THEY START PREPARING AFTER I REACH. SO NOW HE SAID HE'D HAVE TO ASK HIS BOSS, AND THEN SAID THAT I'LL HAVE TO PAY CUZ IT'S WRITTEN IN THE COUPON BOOKLET THAT PACKING MATERIAL IS COMPULSARY. THE COUPON TERMS AND CONDITIONS CLEARLY STATE 'PARCEL CHARGES WILL BE ₹20 EXTRA.' SO NOW THEY CONSTRUE THIS AS ₹20 TO BE PAID IRRESPECTIVE OF PACKING MATERIAL BROUGH OR BOUGHT.

I wanted to give negative ratings just cuz of the service they provided today.... i been to the place at 4 pm (40 deg C temperature outside) with my husband and 4 kids (one of them is 12 months old and others are 8, 10, 11 years). We ordered candy bar and one scoop... now the manager told us that the company policy is that we cannot sit inside the store cuz we ordered candy bars and only one scoop... what the hell is this policy.... the whole restaurant was empty with only 1 table with people eating ice cream ofcourse...now we tried to talk to the Manager named "raju nisar" he was not even ready to allow us to sit inside and eat...how is this even fair... vadilal offers better services... pls be respectful to the customer and please have some humanity with 12 yrs old and 40 deg C temp outside.... where is the HOCCO going forward with this policy god knows... i think its the time to revise your company's policy and train the managers better to show some humanity and kindness.... I used to visit this eatery regularly. However, I had pathetic and horrible service experience this time. My 5 years old son wanted to eat dark chocolate cone and french fries. When I asked them to give me cone first and then french fries, I was asked to go out of eatery and eat cone. Once you finish your cone, you come inside and eat your french fries. When I asked the staff to connect me to owner of that unit, the staff manager called the owner. But shockingly, the owner of that eatery told me that's how our eatery is. You are not allowed to eat ice cream inside hocco eatery. The owner was more rude than staff. So, I understood the reality. In last 40 years in Ahmedabad, this was the first horrible...
