Hotel ADB "Atithi Devo Bhava" — Restaurant in Gujarat

Our experience at ADB Restaurant was utterly disappointing, and I would not recommend it to anyone planning a group dinner. The restaurant does not accept advance bookings, which is already inconvenient, but we decided to try our luck and showed up to arrange seating for a dinner party of 22 people. Although the tables were initially arranged, we were shocked to be asked if all our guests had arrived. When we mentioned that a few were still on the way, the staff rudely informed us that they couldn’t guarantee seating for the remaining guests, even though our tables had already been arranged. Their reasoning? They would give away the seats to others if our guests didn’t arrive within 10 minutes.

The attitude of the manager Mr. Ramesh was especially appalling. He showed no professionalism or courtesy and outright displayed an arrogant demeanor. Even though we had already placed our food orders, we were told that conversations couldn’t take place inside the restaurant and were asked to step outside to talk. This level of treatment was not only rude but entirely disrespectful.

The poor service didn’t end there. The staff seemed more concerned with clearing plates than allowing us to enjoy our meal. On multiple occasions, they tried to take away plates that still had food on them, rushing us through the dining experience. In one instance, they deliberately took my plate away while I was still eating, forcing me to place my food on the table. It felt like they wanted us out of the restaurant as quickly as possible, rather than letting us enjoy our meal in peace.

Additionally, the restaurant seemed severely understaffed. They were slow to refill food on our plates, and we had to repeatedly request basic items. The toilets were another disappointment—they were missing basic amenities, which added to the overall negative impression.

This restaurant failed on every front—service, attitude, and facilities. It was an unpleasant and frustrating experience, and I strongly advise anyone looking for a stress-free dining experience to avoid...

Food was very bad... We came here for 3 times... 3rd time we faced very bad experience... Staff was too rude... Gossiping behind us about the order we have placed bcz we were last customer in the hotel they dont want to serve... 1st time we visited there we ordered paneer bbq it was really very awsm...2nd time we have ordered gujrati thali it was good... 3rd time experience was really very bad we dont expect from them...

We ordered almond broccoli soup and lemon coriandar soup... veg kofta sabji...cheese kulcha...dhaniya kulcha....missi roti... Kashmiri naan...5 buttermilk ...2 masala papad...sizzling brownie with ice cream.... Taste of soup was really good...even of the kulcha ...

They good is that there complimentary drink and complimentary gulab jamun is really good thing... i appreciate that.... They give gulab jamun at last....

Kashmiri naan was they are giving at high price they were only too worst... They even offer us for the change even we told... kashmiri naan was burned and pour to with jam... it was too much sweet.... Kashmiri naan was already in sweet taste plus they poured the jam...

Khoya kaju was too much sugary and in milky form not there with the gravy... kaju was almost not there even told them for extra kaju with extra money....

At last we ordered the sizzling brownie... Brownie was not baked properly it was raw and chocolate syrup was completely thinner like water ... they didn't change .... When we asked for the change there staff started behaving rude and behaved like we are eating for the 1st time...

Bill price is of 2400/- then to there are not interested for the service especially 1 male staff .... 2 female staff....

Dont visit such place....where they treat us as beggars for what we are paying even not getting a proper response and quality... we dont expect the quantity but we expect quality for what we paid....

We visited on 18/12/2022 at 10.30 pm.... We were handle by prakash...but i dont know the name of the person who behave rudely....including there 2...

Superb hotel and restaurant but only one problem is that it is in some low or no coverage area. Which means you cannot use your mobile data and also they aren't giving wifi access inspite of having a wifi connection.

Edit:- Well my relatives have held function recently in this hotel. Well this time service offered was very bad. We had two cakes cut down and people 50 due to pandemic inspite of that majority of cakes were consumed by staff itself in the kitchen I guess as they weren't served in proper quantity. Other than that we had finalized potato curry but they didn't make it good in taste. Also serving was worst there , we were sitting there so they began with samosa and dhokla. Then they vanished for ten to fifteen minutes then they come with a vessel of roti and puran puri but the guy only served roti and therefore I had to ask him to also serve me puran puri (that morn didn't even know that you have to ask people what they would like and not decide himself and skip dishes) other then that there were these tables lined up to combine them to make it possible for more people to sit together) but they served salad in a small bowl (katori) like one between 10 people. Yeah right 1 bowl of salad places between 10 people was kept. Really didn't expect this from you ADB, you su*ed and wouldn't at all recommend you to anyone...this kind of attitude and service is just unacceptable...and to ya reading it, don't organize your functions in here as these are part of our memories and these people value it as much as we do so don't choose this place to have your functions, there are tonnes of better places in Rajkot to have your functions...so just reject it and...
