Hotel Surbhi (Pure Veg) — Restaurant in Gujarat

The Kathiyawadi thali and the Gujarati thali were totally awesome. This is what I was looking for but couldn't find in other restaurants that too in the city like Surat.

The curries were delicious. Spicy level was handled with care. The creativity while preparing the dishes is commendable. The pics I've uploaded don't capture the true taste of it. You must visit at least once to get the real feel of the authentic Gujarati Thali. They should increase the food size a bit because it's a limited serving thali. The staff was attentive and polite. Really kind employees. There is ample parking space for your vehicle. CCTV surveillance is there so eat without any tension. Buttermilk is totally fresh. You'll not experience any throat issues later on. The entrance and exit to the hotel is a bit problematic during monsoon. Too much mud and uneven road so drive with care around this place. The washroom was not well-maintained. Lights were missing and the door hinges were tight due to negligence in the door maintenance. It gets difficult to open the door and it shuts so fast that if you're not careful you'll get hurt. This is the right side washroom in the AC hall area. The left side didn't have lights so senior citizens and children please be careful.

We went there a few days ago and we had dinner over there, The paneer starter was watery and then we ordered the Paneer Sabji and it was also watery (not properly cooked), when asked the manager he explained to us that it's an oil, like we don't know the difference between oil and water.

After some arguments he prepared another one and served us. The second time it was better than the first one but not that good.

The owners should look after the food quality and Hygiene of the restaurant. The plates were smelling very bad, We asked them to change the plates. After the other plates came it was less stinking than the previous one.

Then we had to clean it by ourselves. The food taste is average and the hygiene is very bad of the restaurant. I would not recommend this...

We went to dinner there on Saturday evening on oir way back from Surat to Mumbai. The place was well lit and visible from the road and has loads or parking available. It seemed to be a local favourite because we could see many vehicles in the parking and many people eating there. This place is also a kid's favourite as there was a trampoline there and also a live ice cream roll counter.

The service was slow and they were also not ready to merge the tables for a big group. We were 8 people who then had to sit on two seperate tables. The food was good.
