On the Mumbai Ahmedabad highway, when going towards A'bad, two kilometres after crossing the Tapi river and a 100 meters prior to the'Toll plaza', one can locate this nice and relatively clean place which I have been stopping at for the last more than twenty years. Stop here for typical Surti, Kathiawadi pure vegetarian food (not even eggs). It is open from morning Eight to Eleven in the night. (Alcoholic drinks not permitted.) For breakfast, one will find typical items like Gota bhajia, methi-gota bhajia, fafda, kanda (onion) bhajia and batata (potato) bhajia etc. The typical South-Indian fare is also available. For the uninitiated, generously buttered bread & the standard beverages are available. Cold-drinks and seasonal fruit juices too are on the menu card. For lunch and dinner, Gujarati fare is available with plenty of choices. Usually, the food is typically oily, moderately spicy but, one can always ask for a less oily and minimally spicy preparation. Very competitively priced. The restrooms are segregated from the main building. Males & females have separate sections. Well ventillated & illuminated, clean with commodes and Indian w.c.'s. No toilet tissues, no tissue disposal bins, no hand driers.
(A water wash😃) with a soap bar at the common washbasin for cleaning the hands. For males, separate clean urinals. Ample parking space. Small sand-pit with a couple of swings & slides for toddlers and children. A well stocked curios shop and a 'Attar' (Itra) shop exists on the premises
The Inn part is on the first floor. About eight to ten rooms. Said to be having reasonably clean rooms. I have never had to visit...

you can have variety of indian breads like Nan, roti, chapati, tava roti etc. You can have any of the above mentioned sabji with chapati.
Ringana nu Bharthu with Lasaniyo Rotlo is highly recommended.
you will get Gujarati Daal with Plain rice / Jeera rice in the Lunch and Kadhi Khichdi in the dinner.
*Kadhi khichdi is highly recommended.
they also serves breakfast int he morning, like Dhosa, Idli, sandwiches, vada, Gathiya, fafda, tea and milk. etc
