For anyone who has ever felt excluded from dining experiences because of dietary preferences or restrictions, there’s something particularly special about stepping into a restaurant where you don’t have to worry about asking for substitutions or feeling limited. Little Italy in Vadodara, with its thoughtfully curated full vegan menu, offers exactly that—a liberating, delicious, and authentic dining experience that makes you feel seen and celebrated.
Having lived in a world where plant-based menus often feel like an afterthought, it was nothing short of refreshing to walk into Little Italy, where the vegan options are not just a selection but the very heart of the menu. This was my first visit, and from the moment I stepped through the door, I could feel that this wasn’t just another restaurant; it was a place where thoughtfulness and passion for food truly shine.
From the very beginning, the service was impeccable. As soon as we entered, we were greeted with genuine warmth and hospitality. The staff here knows how to make you feel at home. What really stood out, though, was the personal touch—toward the end of our meal, the manager himself came over to check on us. He wasn’t just asking if everything was fine; it was clear he genuinely cared about our experience. That kind of attention to detail doesn’t go unnoticed, and it elevated the entire experience, making it feel personal and memorable.
Now, onto the food. The menu at Little Italy is a beautiful blend of creativity and authenticity, showcasing Italian cuisine in a way that is entirely plant-based but never compromising on flavor. I’ve had my fair share of vegan dishes, but what Little Italy does exceptionally well is craft meals that not only meet dietary preferences but also meet the soul’s craving for something hearty and satisfying.
To start, the salads were a revelation. Each bite felt like a celebration of freshness and flavor. The ingredients were incredibly fresh, and the dressings were light yet packed with flavor—perfectly balanced without being overly tangy or oily. The Mediterranean Salad with its crisp vegetables, kalamata olives, and a drizzle of olive oil had that ideal balance of flavors that you might expect only in a fine-dining establishment. It wasn’t just a salad; it was an experience of authenticity that transported me straight to the sun-kissed hills of Italy.
What really impressed me was the attention to detail for those with additional dietary needs. Being gluten-free isn’t always easy when dining out, but Little Italy has plenty of options that are not just gluten-free but are also delicious. Equally impressive was the Vegan Pizza, which allowed me to indulge in a classic Italian favorite without compromise. The crust was thin and crispy, not heavy like some gluten-free crusts tend to be. Topped with a flavorful tomato sauce, a medley of fresh vegetables, and just the right amount of seasoning, it was one of the best plant-based pizzas I’ve had in a long time. The use of cashew-based cheese added a lovely creaminess that tied the whole dish together.
By the time we finished our meal, I felt a sense of gratitude that is hard to describe—gratitude for the restaurant’s commitment to providing high-quality, inclusive options that make everyone feel welcome. Little Italy isn’t just a restaurant; it’s a place where people who follow a vegan or gluten-free lifestyle can finally enjoy food without compromise.
For anyone in Vadodara looking for an exceptional dining experience—whether you’re vegan, gluten-free, or simply love great food—I cannot recommend Little Italy enough. The combination of authentic Italian cuisine, a vibrant, accommodating atmosphere, and personal, attentive service makes this place stand out as a true gem. I left with a full stomach and a full heart, knowing that I had found a restaurant that not only meets my dietary needs but also makes me feel truly included and valued.

Read moreAfter the restaurant shut down at its old place, we were really excited about it reopening at a place with such a good ambience. But to our disappointment, it was genuinely a disastrous experience. The food wasn't on par with its previous establishment, the menu had changed with quite a few items on the menu not available and some favourites had been dropped off the menu. The chimichangas were a joke and we're legit just wraps served up with mayo and watered tomatoes (I won't dignify it by calling it salsa). The cheese garlic bread (again a people favourite) wasn't the same gooey oozing with cheese sauce that we know and love; it actually liked like amaska bun with cheese inside. The spinaci salsa was absolutely bland, and tasteless and devoid of any richness or creaminess. The Napoli pizza was good and that's the only reason why I could even justify the one star. The staff couldn't recommend dishes to try, nor did they have a proper odea about the menu. Quite a few items on their menu are not going to be served in Gujarat yet they printed them on the menu. Absolutely baffled as to how an establishment such as little Italy could cause such a disaster. And to top it off, the bill comes out to be an exorbitant amount even after you've definitely not enjoyed your meal and ruined your evening. So definitely rethink your decision about...
