Food Quality: The food at Mysore Cafe receives a 3-star rating. While the taste is acceptable, it doesn't quite capture the essence of authentic South Indian cuisine. There is room for improvement, and the pricing appears to be on the higher side considering the taste offered.

Service: The service at Mysore Cafe is considered okay. The staff's performance meets basic expectations, but there's potential for improvement to enhance the overall customer experience. Promptness and attentiveness could be areas to focus on for a more satisfactory service.

Atmosphere: The atmosphere at Mysore Cafe was not at the desired level. It would be beneficial to provide specific details about what aspects were lacking. Whether it's the ambiance, cleanliness, or overall vibe, sharing these details can help readers understand the overall atmosphere of the cafe.

Combining these elements into a cohesive review:

"At Mysore Cafe, the food is rated at 3 stars, falling short of delivering the true essence of South Indian flavors. While the taste is acceptable, it doesn't quite meet the expectations one might have for authentic dishes. Additionally, the pricing seems a bit high given the taste offered. The service, although okay, could benefit from improvements in terms of promptness and attentiveness. The atmosphere at the cafe was not at the desired level, and it would be helpful to know specific details about what aspects were lacking – whether it's the ambiance, cleanliness, or overall vibe. Overall, Mysore Cafe has potential for enhancement in various areas to provide a more satisfying dining...

A Timeless Taste of South India Since 1969 – Mysore Cafe, Surat

Mysore Cafe isn’t just a restaurant — it’s a legacy. A culinary landmark nestled in the heart of Surat since 1969, it continues to delight food lovers with its authentic South Indian flavours that have stood the test of time.

The Mysore Masala Dosa here is nothing short of extraordinary — perfectly crisp on the outside, stuffed with a spicy, flavourful potato filling, and served with piping hot sambar and a duo of coconut and tomato chutneys that are brimming with homemade warmth.

Their Idli and Vada are a celebration of simplicity done right — soft, fluffy idlis that melt in your mouth and crispy, golden-brown medu vadas that are light yet hearty, each bite taking you back to the roots of traditional South Indian cuisine.

What makes Mysore Cafe special is not just the food, but the nostalgic charm that fills the air — the same comforting taste locals have cherished for over five decades. It's a place where tradition meets taste, where every plate tells a story of legacy and love.

Highly recommended for anyone who values authenticity, consistency, and timeless flavours. Whether you're a regular or a first-timer, Mysore Cafe promises an experience that’s soulful, satisfying, and truly...

This restaurant is loosing it's dignity day by day. Today when I went there, they were extremely in hurry as they became money making machine now. They served me dosa and it had not been even 5 minutes, they were asking again and again "want something else " ? I said no, just let me eat properly. After only 1 minutes they came with bill and kept on my table even I wanted to order something else . They started denying that nothing we can serve as bill is already generated. I was like - Are you kidding me? I haven't been to other restaurants ? Tell directly that now you become money making machine and wanted me to go so that more money (people) could come.

Now come to their food part

Food is not extraordinary to which these people are flooded with ego. Also to make that much crispy dosa , one has to pour a lots of oil (again we don't have right to go in kitchen to check that oil)

Above mentioned experience is not of one time but it happens every time I went there. I've been there 30-35 times but now it's not worth it going there. They are compromising customer's wants and needs then probably there is high chance and they may be using cheap or bad oil to make that much...

bloody baggers, yes using this word with all my senses, today I ordered 4 plates idly for parcel as I had few guests at home, despite charging an astronomical sum for a plate of idly, they provided a very small portion of coconut chutney, attaching picture of it (readers can see the pics and justify) with the review, this is not happening for first time, they are enjoying the locational advantage but providing food which is not only tasteless but provides it like they are doing some kind of अहसान on us. Cost cutting by providing small portion of chutney & sambar, more ridiculous part is when I went back driving 4 kms again back the staff started quarrelling by telling me this is what they provide, one guy even tell me not to come back ever, as they don't care about this. I mean they act like bullies, Dear Surtis, yes we don't have many options for South Indian Food here in our city but that doesn't mean we should take these bullies like MYSORE Cafe as they act like this. There are better options like RADHA KRISHNA, Sai Dosa etc. I am a fully responsible citizen and this review is in best interest of we the people.

Overhyped. It's a small place. There is no ambiance as such. There will always be a long line. Food: Dosa was okay. But Sambhar and Chutney had almost no taste. Watery taste. I know south indian traditional food is a bit less spicy, but it's not watery bland. Dahi bara was also nothing. Ambiance and service is minimal. Only pro is price and I think that's the only reason why there is so much crowd always. Price is quite less than expectations in Surat city area. But food etc is according to that price. So if you want a cheap, mediocre experience it's a good place. If you can spend a bit more, many better place are available in Surat. Also, the line is generally 15-20 mins minimum, so after that, your expectations will rise, and sadly mine didn't get fulfilled.

Mysore Cafe is very much popular and well-known Cafe (say restaurant) serving South Indian snacks, near Chaupati, Athwalines. It is serving the taste lover Surtis for more than atleast three decades. The reason for their constant popularity is the consistency of taste and quality of their food. Their typical samosas, you can't find anywhere else. Dhosas and mendu-wada served with authentic sambar and coconut chutney are very delicious. Food lovers are always howering here to quench their taste buds. This is a very good place to dine singly, in groups or with family. I would surely like to recommend every food lover to visit atleast once.
