Tea Post - The Desi cafe — Restaurant in Gujarat

Yesterday i.e. on 23/06/24, me and my wife went there for dinner at about 8 PM. We were sitting in the open and the order was just served when it started raining and the lights went out. Suddenly everything went dark and people started rushing for the covered area with their food plates. There were no emergency lights of any kind and it was pitch dark everywhere. People were using their mobile lights to see around. It's strange that they don't have any arrangement for emergency lights of any kind when the same are available quite cheap these days. Also the food is way too expensive. Everything is exorbitantly priced and the quantity is less according to price. You drive down all the way outside the city and pay double or triple the amount for the same food than what you pay in city. It doesn't really make sense. The ambience is also not much to talk about. The wooden tables wobble and the chairs are not at all comfortable., I would certainly not bother to visit a second time to waste my hard-earned...

Very disturbed and disappointed place became in last 1.5 years.

But this time i felt very very disappointed. #Service is very disrespectful. #Our orders goes to someone and someone's to us. #No proper cleaning, #Food served very late after ordering approximately 45 to 70 minutes. #No one there to listen any of this issues. #No menu card after asking for orders. #seat and tables are uneven. #No proper ventilation. #Washrooms comparing bad than railways. Some dishes order as per timely useful such as tea, Gathiya, Handvo are served too late. And cold also at time we ask for crispy and they don't even dare to do.

Such pathetic service....

The place is really lively. Ambiance is awesome n clean. Prices r reasonable. I tried Maggie n tea (Both were fantastic in taste).

Staff delayed the order 2 times n 2 times incorrect order. This was something negative I found as an experience.

Sufficient parking. I found the info. that this place gets closed by 2am n mostly they stop enteries after 1am.

Place is approx. 800-900m away from Swami Narayan Temple.

All sort of card payment n online transactions are available.

Overall it's a good place to spend quality time as sitting arrangement n greenary is super cool.

The best spot to select is the terrace portion. Currently due to Covid they have restricted sitting arrangement from group to only 2...
