Vadlawali Aloopuri — Restaurant in Gujarat

The place has quite nostalgic atmosphere with narrow streets and good old days feel which is quite amusing. Although, place is nice but the taste of food was quite OK.

As we know how delicious authentic taste aloopuri we used to eat in mid of 2000s. As a kid, I used to eat once in a month but I enjoyed every piece of it. That taste is missing in today's aloopuri.

I though that Vadlawali aloopuri is famous so the food would be definately awesome but with my disappointment the taste was OK. Puri was soft, Chana & potato topping was good, there was no taste of kokum chutney and capsicum chutney at all because of papdi and Sev topping. Here, entire taste of aloopuri was ruined as they have added too much topping of Sev and papdi. It was tasting like I am eating only puri, sabzi and Sev. Total disaster. I removed some of the Sev & papdi topping from it and tried to taste the aloopuri and it tasted better.

So if you are going here to enjoy aloopuri then tell them to add less amount of Sev & papdi and more kokum chutney + capsicum chutney. (Note : capsicum chutney was spicy after removing some toppings of sev and papdi so ask to add it as per your needs)....
