Vishala Kathiawadi Hotel — Restaurant in Gujarat

This is the best place for Kathiyawadi food in Surat.

After a whole day of excursion we decided to end a day with light but tasty food. I suggested them to try Kathiyawadi as khichadi kadhi will be lightest and tasty.

Upon finalisation our local friend suggested and joined us to this place. This place has a dhaba style charpai seating in outdoors. (Indoors available too but never went to check).

Coming to the food now.

We started with bhungala batata (ભુંગળા બટાટા) It’s basically bobby ( our childhood snack) with potato sabzi. Awesome taste finished in minutes.

Sev Tomato Sabzi was very tasty , balanced flavours, perfect gravy.

Bhakri was so nicely done. Very crispy, Hot, right from the pan to table nicely spread desi ghee on it... went well with all sabzis.

Masala Khichadi was pure winner.... It was deliciously delicious piping hot, full of vegetables and right on flavours.

Kadhi... equally delicious, blended well with khichadi.

One thing was a rockstar Dahi ni Tikhari (દહીં ની તીખારી) - I won’t explain what it was but whenever you visit the place pls order and enjoy the flavours.

Ghee Gol Rotlo ( ઘી ગોળ રોટલો ) This is a traditional dish. My childhood favourite. Bhakris are mashed with hand then loads of ghee is added with jaggery making it sweet delicious delicacy.

Masala Papad is a standard everywhere. No explanation required.

last visit on Saturday not satisfied with food we orders undhiyu (come with alu some vegi nothing on this no test ) rigngda nu orro (test ok ok but no spicy ) bungda bataka (very bad alu sabji no test no spicy ) bajri na rotla is only i like (nicely make and cooked ) zeera rice was uncooked they return and given another plate of rice but no difference just replece with hot zeera rice uncooked dal is ok price to high potion also very less staff behave rude not...

One of the most famous kathiyavadi hotel in Surat. Good open space dine in. Good Garden type surroundings maintained. Food quality is quite OK. Hotel is good for only kathiyavadi test food. Do not even try for other type of food, its totally waste. Staff is quite cooperative but service is literally very slow. There is reasonable amount of compromise in cleanliness and hygiene.
