A Mixed Experience at Gulshan Dhaba
My recent lunch outing at Gulshan Dhaba was a blend of highs and lows. Known for its long-standing reputation as a go-to eatery in Murthal, the place had its moments but left room for improvement.
Starting with the positives, the food at Gulshan Dhaba was undeniably flavorful. The North Indian dishes I tried were well-prepared, with the dal makhani and butter naan standing out as my favorites. The spices were balanced, and the portions were generous, making it a satisfying experience for the palate. The pricing is reasonable, which is a big plus for travelers looking for hearty meals on a budget.
The service, however, left me a bit disappointed. While the staff were polite, the wait time for the food was longer than expected, especially considering the dhaba’s popularity and the rush during peak hours. It seemed slightly understaffed, which might explain the delay.
As for the ambiance, Gulshan Dhaba exudes a typical dhaba vibe with a bustling, no-frills setting. While it adds to the authenticity, the cleanliness could use more attention, particularly in the seating and washroom areas.
One thing that stood out was the variety on the menu. Whether you’re a fan of classic vegetarian fare or looking for something quick and satisfying, there’s plenty to choose from. However, the overall experience lacked the polish and efficiency I’ve encountered at other popular dhabas in the area.
In conclusion, Gulshan Dhaba is a decent option for a flavorful meal but may not be the best choice if you’re looking for a seamless dining experience. With a bit of improvement in service and cleanliness, it has the potential to live up to its...
Read moreDuring my journey back from Delhi to Chandigarh, I had the pleasure of dining at a remarkable dhaba located in Murthal. The experience was enhanced by the unique setting, the welcoming atmosphere, and a touch of rain that added to the charm.
As we pulled into the dhaba's parking area, the raindrops created a soothing ambiance, and the attentive staff member, armed with an umbrella, escorted us to the entrance. The first thing that struck me was the sheer size of the dining halls, which showcased the dhaba's popularity and capacity to accommodate a large number of guests.
Settling down at a cozy table, I eagerly awaited the culinary delights that awaited. Our choice was a selection of different types of paranthas, a classic North Indian staple, served with generous dollops of white butter. The flavors of the paranthas were comforting, though not overwhelmingly exceptional. The simple yet hearty meal was a fitting companion to the rustic charm of the dhaba.
What truly stood out was the warm hospitality of the dhaba's staff. Their attentive service and willingness to make our visit comfortable added to the overall positive experience. It's heartening to be met with such genuine care and concern, especially when on a long journey.
The combination of the rain, the sprawling dining halls, the simple yet satisfying food, and the hospitality created a delightful evening that I won't soon forget. The dhaba's ability to provide a satisfying meal in a welcoming environment, even amidst the rain, left me content and appreciative of their efforts. If you find yourself on the road near Murthal, this dhaba is worth a stop for a taste of North Indian comfort and...
Read moreI am going to write my honest and personal views about Gulshan dhaba at murthal. The views are purely personal with no biased views. I visited most of the good restaurant(dhaba) in Murthal. I will compare Amrik Sukhdev dhaba with Gulshan dhaba. Locations are great for both of the dhaba. Both are located on main road with enough parking space. However, Amrik Sukhdev has lot of parking space . Ambience is better in sukhdev as compared with Gulshan. Services are better in Sukhdev. I was served with cold tandoor paratha in Gulshan. Even the white butter over it cold not melt. Service wise sukhdev id a clear winner. Taste of prathas was similar in both dhaba. Butter was bit better in Sukhdev. However, pichle and kulhad tea is clear winner in Gulshan. Staff courtesy needs attention in both dhaba. The staff must be more polite with customer. Both dhaba must pay attention to this point. Curd is also good in sukhdev . The curd taste and texture is also great in sukhdev. Shetra, it was not that good in gulshan. Though it was good but comparatively, sukhdev is winner. sitting place is huge in sukhdev as compared to gulshan dhaba. If you want good taste of prathas and better service you need to visit sukhdev. If you want good tea and great taste of pickle, you need to visit to gulshan dhaba. Over all in future, if i m going to eat tandoori prathas in murthal , i will prefer sukhdev over. Gulshan. If I want to have Kulhad tea, I will prefer gulshan. Both places are great with minor differences. It's individual choice and taste who likes...
