Disappointed by Poor Service – Needs Major Improvement
I visited this restaurant recently with high hopes, but unfortunately, the experience left me quite disappointed. While the food was okay and the staff seemed decent, the overall service was extremely poor and really affected the dining experience.
To begin with, as soon as we sat down, we noticed something quite odd—there were no spoons on the table. It's basic restaurant etiquette to at least have essential cutlery placed before guests arrive, or to provide it promptly. We had to ask multiple times just to get spoons, which was both embarrassing and inconvenient. This gave a very careless first impression.
Secondly, no water bottles or even regular drinking water was provided unless we specifically asked for it—and not just once. We had to remind the staff more than once to bring water, and even then, it took an unreasonably long time. At any decent restaurant, water is brought out automatically, and this lack of attentiveness shows poor training or weak management.
Now, to be fair, the food itself was not bad. It was okay—not extraordinary, but decent enough in terms of taste and portion size. It didn’t wow us, but it also wasn’t the worst. If the service had matched the food quality, we might have left satisfied.
The staff was okay too, meaning they were polite and not intentionally rude. However, they seemed unprepared and inattentive. It wasn’t a busy time, yet the service was extremely slow and disorganized. We had to keep calling them for the smallest things—be it cutlery, water, or follow-up on our food order. At times it felt like they were either not trained well or simply not supervised properly.
The biggest issue was the lack of coordination and professionalism in service. Our order took longer than expected, some items were delayed, and no one seemed to take ownership of fixing the situation. The staff kept walking by without checking in or asking if we needed anything. Even the bill took a long time to arrive, and no one apologized or acknowledged the poor service.
The ambiance of the place was average, but due to the poor service, we couldn’t enjoy our time fully. What could have been a simple and pleasant meal turned into a frustrating experience. A restaurant is not just about food—it’s also about hospitality, attentiveness, and comfort, and this place seriously needs to improve in that ar
I wouldn’t completely rule this place out, especially if they improve their service, because the food is acceptable and the staff is polite. But as it stands now, I would not recommend this restaurant unless they fix the basic service standards that customers...

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Palace Haveli, a highway hotel that truly stood out—not just for its food or ambiance, but for the spirit and care behind it.
What made this place come alive wasn’t flashy lighting or grand décor, but the incredible presence and leadership of the owner. It was inspiring to see a team—especially several women—working late into the evening, feeling safe, respected, and empowered. That sense of security and comfort extended not just to the staff, but to us guests as well. As a female traveler, I genuinely appreciated the atmosphere of trust and care.
The owner was hands-on, attentively managing everything and filling in wherever needed. I was lucky to be one of the guests he personally interacted with, and I left with a deep sense of gratitude. It’s rare to see someone so committed to creating a safe and welcoming space for both staff and visitors.
The food was another highlight—absolutely delicious, clean, and made with clear attention to detail. The entire team was polite, prompt, and full of warmth, reflecting the same energy the owner brings to the place.
Thank you, Palace Haveli, for not just serving a great meal, but for setting a beautiful example of leadership, hospitality, and safety. I look forward to returning and highly recommend this gem to...
