The place is near MD University, just at the round about of Rajiv Chowk. The Parantha are served with a bowl of raita and white butter. Even the smallest size of Parantha serving there, was a meal for 4 people. The pics of the same are attached. We ordered matar paneer Parantha. I have had a lots of Parantha, however, I did not find it upto the mark. When we told this to owner, he got our order replaced with aaloo pyaz Parantha. However I didn't find that too any amazing, apart from its size which was very big for anyone to complete. Altough the Parantha was crisp but the filling was lacking that tingling taste that one would expect. The prices starts from 160 for basic aaloo pyaaz and goes upto 400 for the special one. These prices are for smallest size. Apart from Parantha, they also have sandwiches, burger, North Indian, Chinese, Shakes etc. Also there is self service system, you have to go to counter for ordering and paying.
The place has been highlighted on a TV show OMG India, hosted by Krishna (a comedian).
They also have a challenge for you where you need to eat 3 jumbo size Parantha in 40 mins.
PS: I found the behaviour of the staff working there very rude. My only advise to owner is that, along with the improving the quality/taste he should ensure that his staff behaves properly with the customers. Since people are traveling to this place from distant places, you need to invest some on improving the interior...
Read moreIt was worth 104 kms to and fro from Delhi to Rohtak to eat this paratha, today Sunday 27th August 2018.... the largest in size they claim! We were 2 cars which went for a drive to taste these parathas which we all had heard of.
Its easy to find and is on a corner of a major roundabout, well outside the city. It is a bit cramped inside, but didnt bother once we settled down.
You have 3 sizes to choose from. We chose the extra large one as thats the size we came to taste. It took a good 30 mins for the first aloo achar masala paratha to come. It was cut by a pizza cutter in front of us in smaller manageable pieces. Lots of white butter and dahi & raita alongwith. The raita was also very tasty. Within 15 mins the next paratha we order, matar aloo pyaaz, came. This one was thinner and crisper and very delicious. Highly recommend this paratha!
We tried the big jalebi - it was cold and would have enjoyed had it been served fresh and hot.
A great place to try if you are a foodie.
Will definitely go again...
Read moreVery Overhyped because it manages to feature on a TV programme. This is not the first or the only eatry serving such big parathas. Balaji paratha was the the first but is not so lucky to draw much crowd.
Paratha taste is good but certainly not awesome. So many varieties to choose from.
Only one small bowl raita and insufficient piece of butter served with such big paratha.
Highly understaffed, might be owners strategy to show place crowded. Need to focus on hiegene and cleanliness front. Non AC hall, dirty tables and floor, same person serving and cleaning tables are common sights here. Manager here is not responsive to any complaint, suggestion or criticism.
I have visited Tapasaya quite a many times as taste is fine, this is close to my place and newly constructed tile floor building.
P.S Don't get tempted for Lassi by looking at tumbler size, it's not served full, warm and tastes so...
