ATS- Kasol (Riverside Cafe & Stay) — Restaurant in Himachal Pradesh

I know ATS is trending alot on social media but I would like to share my true experience. There is no doubt that the cafe has a great view however there are alot of cafes next to it which offer the same ambience and view. The service is very bad at ATS, the staff is highly disrespectful and inefficient. They kept me waiting for 45 minutes by telling me that as soon as a seating is available we will give it to you however when the seating was available it was taken by someone else and then they told me that we cant give you seats you have to take it on your own. They made a fool out of me. After that we ordered coke and it was flat ( no fizz) we requested to exchange it for a fresh glass however they refused and kind of misbehaved with us. Given we had ordered food and drinks worth 2000 they could have considered the issue with the coke as we are not cheapos who would try to get a 100 rupee’s discount by faking that the coke has gone bad. They are highly inefficient and rude. I will never recommend you to got to this cafe for dining. You can visit the cafes in the same row that offer better service and treat their customers well. Lastly incase you want to make a story just go and do it as it is overcrowded and the staff lets anyone enter, so people who dont even order can make stories. no one will notice that you are not a customer, lol.

Reply to the owner: We had raised the issue but your staff didn’t exchange it. They were rude and didn’t accept, told us we were lying. Also about the ‘mentality’ we had ordered and we paid our bill, you staff was allowing people to enter and make stories. So people who were sitting and are your customers had to sit in commotion and in an overcrowded environment. These people were just roaming around to click pictures. Please get your facts right and be more accepting...

Just an overhyped place. Rooms don't look like how they are advertising. Paid 15000 for a family suite. wasn't worthy for the price. Toilet seat was broken(photo added). Even after repeated requests no effort from staff side to check it . No hot water in wash area. Tiles broken (photo added). Felt like a renovated old house by the Riverside. The behaviour and attitude of two staff from ATS cafe was horrible and unprofessional. Cafe ambience is good. Food was average. Accessibility is also an issue...we have to cross 2 small rivers and park our car there ( at our own risk). It has to be informed prior (not after paying advance). Otherwise being the costliest and most marketed hotel in katagla, its also the responsibility of the property to provide basic infrastructure (like we'll maintained bridge, parking space etc) for easy accessibility. The photos that are available on insta and other influencer pages only paint the rosy picture. Provided photos are the real pictures of the arduous route we have to take to reach the site. Posting it here so that it will be helpful people who expect to stay in the hotel especially if travelling with kids/elderly and for the novice drivers. Also I had asked for receipt/bill for accommodation. They said they would send it by email..but didn't receive it yet. Overall not worthy. There are a lot of other places in kasol that offer better services.

The review is edited and includes the reply to the owner. Going through the other various reviews , its understood how unprofessionally they are dealing with negative reviews. Instead of rectifying problems, they are trying to blame the guests. Being an avid traveller myself, i can say this was one of the worst host experiences i had. Really regret...

I wish i could give ratings in negative to ATS Kasol. I recently stayed at ATS for 2 nights and their service is the worst you can imagine. They charge you a bomb for the stay yet do not even offer the bare minimum in the name of good hospitality.|The two hosts Aditya and Sharad, sweet on the face but just absolutely didn't care about their guests.||They denied us dinner one night because they had a rave party going on. It was not even that their kitchens were closed which we would have understood. They just prioritized the party in cafe cause they could have made more money.||Everything is overpriced. Even more than you would find in the best restaurants in Delhi.||It's basic courtesy in any cafe or restaurant to serve water first thing. It took them forever to even do that even after requesting a couple of times. They don't serve regular water in mountains where they push you to buy single use plastic bottles and make money and create more plastic waste. The staff is very arrogant and lacks basic humbleness and humility for serve a customer. They are charging us decent money for it but fail to serve their customers.||The room service was bad. Even after repeated requests they forgot and ignored to provide Coffee Mugs, Glasses and basic amenities in the room.||No proper cleaning happens in the cafe once a guest leaves to seat the next customer in line.||The day we had to leave, the staff wasn't available to check us out cause everyone was high from the party last night and they did not have backup staff in place.||They are only minting money for the good location they...
