Brown World — Restaurant in Himachal Pradesh

When in Paonta Sahib, Brown World has been my go to place for any kind of cakes or pastries or patties. They have also been our cake partners for every celebration - and everytime they get the cakes right.

They are one of the oldest eateries of the area (this one is an extension of Deep Bakers, serving amazing food since decades). The cold sandwiches are my favorites. I just can't get enough of them (Maybe a childhood memory or the softness of the bread - something calls me back to the sandwiches everytime).

Cold coffee - made to perfection (we also tried hazelnut cold coffee - and that was good too)

Egg wrap - again fresh and bursting with flavours.

The bakery items are fresh and good too. Cream rolls, pizza base, kulcha, bread, rusk - you name it and they have it.

Edit - December 2023. My earlier review was 7 years ago, but we have been visiting this place on each of my India visit. The quality of products has been well maintained. Range of products has evolved with time and demand, though it hasn't diluted the quality. The customer service is exceptional and one always feels that personal touch while visiting here. Home delivery is also available in most cases. The location is easily accessible and popular among customers. Almost all the bakery options are egg-less by default these days which makes the experience even better. Parking can be a hassle in busy hours though. Well...

I had a very bad experience with them twice. "Unchi dukaan feeka pakwan" They cheat you if you are not an educated consumer by their cheap tactics. If you are not smart and aware of the product you are paying for then they will make a hole in your pocket. Moreover, they don't have the decency to accept the mistake and to redress it.
