Sagar Ratna Chintpurni — Restaurant in Himachal Pradesh

My recent visit to Sagar Ratna at chintpurni was nothing short of a letdown. I ordered 2 plates of dal makhni, raita, and jeera aloo. What I received? Just one plate. When I asked about the second, I was casually told the kitchen was closed — despite food still being served to other tables.

The service was shockingly poor. Basic cutlery wasn’t even provided unless repeatedly asked for. When I tried to place another order, the staff made it visibly clear that they were annoyed — as if doing their job was a burden.

To make things worse, I was handed a ₹30 water bottle while other tables were getting free water in jugs. No explanation. No consistency.

But the final straw? I asked for a simple cup of tea and was told it would take half an hour. Minutes later, other guests — who ordered after me — were casually sipping on theirs.

Me and my family is fan of Sagar Ratna restaurant in Delhi and NCR from last 12-15 years. But but the hotel in city of chintapurni is worst. The food quality was poor. As soon as we saw the name we straight head to it and didn’t think about any other option. But the Masala Dosa was worst quality. Quantity is so small that can fill one kid. Dosa size was small than any regular dosa on street while price is Rs. 195. The sambhar was bad the vegetable in sambhar was half cooked. We ordered Idli chat (Rs. 190) which was served in small quantity. I believe the chef in kitchen was bad and skilled to serve the quality of Sagar Ratna standards. I would not go again. The worst experience!! Its my hardest earned money that i pay at your restaurant and its not worth paying at all !! Without any doubt me and my friends went with a high expectations that food will be best as always but the expectations was all failed!! The masala dosa was not good at all and roti was not cooked properly!! The worst part is the service !! If you really want to give the good service only at certain locations then its better you please shut down the outlet where you are sure your service is not going to be upto the mark!!
