I recently visited WAH Teah in Palanpur and unfortunately had a disappointing experience. The highlight of my visit was the rude behavior exhibited by both the owner and staff members.

From the moment I entered the restaurant, I was greeted with indifference by the owner. It seemed as though my presence was an inconvenience to them. Their lack of hospitality and friendly demeanor was quite off-putting.

The rudeness extended to the staff as well. They appeared disinterested in providing quality service and were unresponsive to requests and inquiries. It was evident that customer satisfaction was not a priority for them.

Such behavior creates a negative dining atmosphere and significantly impacts the overall dining experience. Regardless of the food's quality, exceptional service is vital to enjoy a meal. Unfortunately, the disrespectful conduct of the owner and staff overshadowed any positives the restaurant may have had to offer.

Given the unpleasant encounter, I would not recommend WAH Teah to others. It's important for establishments to prioritize customer service and ensure a welcoming environment for their guests. When we visited Palampur last week, we ate at The Tea Room at Wah twice!

The first time we visited, we had just finished the tea tour at the Wah factory (one must do this tour). It was around tea time and I ordered myself a Moroccon mint tea (which is available for purchase at their Tea shop) and a slice of the lemon cake. The tea was just right and the cake was scrumptious. The next day we went back for lunch and ordered a veg biryani (which is served with a yum tomato chutney and masala curd) and a creamy mushroom spaghetti with iced lemongrass and chamomile green tea. Both, the dishes and drinks, were delicious and refreshing (although I must say I would have liked the spaghetti to have had a bit more sauce! but it was still yum 😋 ). The ambience is just wonderful- you have a wonderful view of the tea gardens as well as an option to sit on the hanging benches/tables that just adds a bit more fun to your visit. A must visit on your trip to Palampur !
