A Disappointing Experience

Yesterday, I visited Red Oven near my home with my family, hoping to enjoy a pleasant lunch and surprise my wife and son. Unfortunately, what we expected to be a cheerful family outing quickly turned into a disappointing and uncomfortable experience.

As we entered the dining area, we were shocked to find flies, most of them are dead flies scattered in almost every corner. Concerned about hygiene, I raised the issue with the staff, but their response was both careless and alarming.

They casually mentioned that they had recently used chemicals to kill the flies—raising even more serious concerns about food safety, given that we were dining in an area recently treated with unknown substances.

Despite our discomfort, I convinced my wife to stay a bit longer and ordered only French fries for our son, who was excited to eat them. It had also started raining outside, and I didn't want to upset him by leaving abruptly.

However, just a few minutes later, a fly fell directly into our son’s plate. I immediately took the plate to the billing counter to show the staff, expecting an apology or at least some acknowledgment of the issue.

Instead, the response I received was dismissive. The staff member or the owner simply said, “I can’t do anything if a fly falls on the plate,” showing no concern or responsibility.

Feeling unheard and frustrated, we left the rest of the food untouched and walked out. While the bakery itself is visually appealing and it’s nice to see such a large establishment with dine-in facilities in our neighborhood, the lack of hygiene is deeply disappointing. If the dining area is in such poor condition, one can only imagine the state of the kitchen.

I sincerely hope the management takes this feedback seriously. A well-maintained and clean environment is essential—not just for appearance but for the health and safety of customers.

It's unfortunate that in many places, businesses invest heavily in decor and ambiance initially, but neglect cleanliness and maintenance over time.

I was one of their earlier customers as it's close to my place and they used to offer great quality food.

Been a couple years now and I can say they have gotten too big for their britches, I have made my orders both online and offline but their quality has gone down significantly. Case and point.

1: broasted chicken: I ordered at the location and in person for a takeout. While eating with family the 3 chicken pieces had a rotten disgusting stench on the inside and they had been fried multiple times before my order as it was all dried up but smelly, the leg piece was fresh. We threw it away.

2: Good ol Fries. I have ordered fries twice over Zomato and Swiggy, on Zomato I got left over pieces all half inches long. On Swiggy I got soggy and stale oily fries like they have been refried and sent out. Both times inedible.

I have supported your business because of your quality of food but going forward, I won't be ordering from you. You have lost a customer and you'll lose many more if you don't go back and fix your quality and...

I recently visited Red Oven Bakers, a charming local bakery that I had been hearing great things about. The main reason for my visit was their reputation for serving freshly baked items, and they certainly did not disappoint.

As soon as I entered, I was greeted by the delightful aroma of baked goods straight from the oven. The display was filled with an assortment of tempting treats, and I couldn't resist trying a few. I went for their pastry, veg puff, and a few other items, and each one was absolutely delicious. The pastry was light and flaky, while the veg puff had just the right balance of spices and crispiness.

The staff at Red Oven Bakers were friendly and made sure I had a pleasant experience. It's clear that they put a lot of care into their products, and it shows in the quality of the food.
