Udupi Sri Krishna Grand — Restaurant in Hyderabad

Not sure, how there are still few positive reviews exists for this location. We visited this place on 14 Apr 2024, it was really a pathetic experience. I wish nobody travelling between Hyderabad and Bangalore visit this place and go through the pain me and my family went through.

Ordered sweetcorn soup, sweetcorn in the soup was smelling bad and it tasted differently (for all six of us). My 6 year old daughter was also able to make out there is something wrong. Basic starter that you get in every resto which serves North Indian dishes, we ordered 2 Gobi Manchurian, after 15 minutes we were told they can prepare only one instead of 2. The one they served was not of any good taste. Ordered couple of fried rice and a dal fry, again after 15 to 20 minutes, we only got fried rice and when we asked about dal fry, the response from their staff was, "ohh I forgot to order in the kitchen, it will be done in 5 minutes. Unfortunately nobody turns up for 10 minutes. After all this, there was no finger bowl given to wash the hand, we still accepted that. Worst was yet to come, when we went to wash our hands in the wash basin, there was no water. One staff was filling buckets with water and was keeping it on the wash basin. Ultimate thing was, there was not even a single cup of Tea or Coffee was available. When I tried checking for the supervisor, literally no one was there on the floor to take care of this.

I would request everyone travelling between Hyderabad and Bengaluru to avoid visiting this place for food and...

I recently had the opportunity to visit a restaurant that left a very pleasant impression on me. From the moment I entered, the atmosphere felt welcoming and refreshing. The spacious layout with ample greenery around the premises created a calm and relaxing environment for dining. One of the most striking attractions is the beautiful Krishna statue placed at the entrance, which immediately catches attention and adds a spiritual charm to the overall ambiance.

Alert !!! Don't get fooled....

Feeding someone is indeed a noble cause, even when it's done for profit. I visited this restaurant with my family, drawn by its 4.4-star rating from over 6000 reviews. With such high praise and the relatively expensive menu, I expected good hospitality, management, food, ambience, and service.

We chose this place over Pista House, arriving at 2 PM, primarily because it’s a pure vegetarian restaurant. However, the experience was far from our expectations. There were flies everywhere, which we initially overlooked, attributing it to the continuous rain.

To our surprise, 90% of the menu was unavailable at 2 PM! How can a 4.4-star Telugu restaurant reviewed by 7000 people not have biryani at lunchtime?

The items we eventually ordered were just okay in taste, but the service was extremely slow. It took 45 minutes for them to serve us, despite the restaurant being only partially filled with just four tables occupied.

We had to take plane rice because the food was so late.

The experience was nothing short of disappointing. The staff does not understand Hindi and English, the manager was nowhere to be found, and the prices were unjustifiably high.

If possible, I would have rated it -5. Pathetic and...
