I recently visited Badkul Restaurant in Jabalpur after hearing a lot of buzz about it, but honestly, the experience was not as good as expected. I tried their thali, which was priced at ₹280, but I didn’t find it worth the amount. The overall taste was quite average, and nothing really stood out. The paneer dish especially was a disappointment — it didn’t taste fresh and lacked that rich, creamy flavor you usually expect from a good North Indian meal.

The rest of the items on the thali were okay but not impressive enough to justify the price. For ₹280, one expects better quality and more balanced flavors. The food felt more like something you could get at a mid-range dhaba rather than a well-rated restaurant.

That said, I would like to appreciate their service and ambience. The staff was polite and responsive, and the restaurant was clean, comfortable, and nicely maintained. The presentation was decent, and the place does have a good family-friendly environment.

Overall, I’d say Badkul Restaurant has good service and ambience, but they seriously need to improve their food taste and quality to match the price...

Date: 28 Feb 2025 I ordered three veg thalis while travelling to Thane through Swiggy on my train, thinking it would be safer to order food from a known platform. However, the quality of food was absolutely pathetic. The rotis were like rubber, almost impossible to chew, and the rest of the food was equally disappointing.

To make matters worse, within a few hours, all three of us started feeling unwell, and we ultimately suffered from severe food poisoning. What was supposed to be a happy and comfortable journey turned into a nightmare, filled with discomfort and frequent trips to the washroom.

This experience not only ruined our trip but also made us lose faith in the quality checks Swiggy claims to have. Serving such unhygienic and substandard food to customers, especially travellers who rely on these platforms for safe meals, is completely unacceptable.

I sincerely hope Swiggy takes strict action against the restaurant responsible for this and ensures such incidents don’t...
