We went to dinner to Baluchi for valentine's dinner, i had booked through Eazydiner as we went there at 9:45 pm we noticed the restaurant door was closed (we don't know why the door was closed even if the restaurant was open).
This was just a start of unpleasant experience in the restaurant, we were seated in a table and waiter approached us and asked "do you stay in the hotel or do you have reservation? ( I believe this had to be checked with the restaurant host and not the guest as we were already seated on the table) What followed was just embarrassment that we choose this restaurant as our dinner place even roadside basic restaurant has better service then this 5 star hotel restaurant. Our Eazydiner discount was not honoured as we choose set menu ( would have been nice if it was mentioned before hand and not while presenting the check)
The manager was missing from the restaurant the staff needs lots of training.
The staff is unwelcoming, have lack of knowledge about the product and manager should be visible if there is any assigned manager.
Also this restaurant charges service charge for their poor service. FYI Service Charge is prohibited to be charged in India by the government.
Also the restaurant team member demanded to get my mobile no. Without my consent which is again...
Read moreAn attempt to have dinner at Baluchi at Lalit Jaipur (Their glorified Indian Food fine dining Restaurant) was amongst the worst during our entire trip. So much so that we had to leave the restaurant without eating food because what they served on table was cooked with disoriented recipes and wasn't good to eat. We ordered Paneer Tikka along with other items and what we were served was a tawa fried paneer pakora with a thin coat of besan (see zoomed pictures). On top of it... the chef shamelessly kept arguing that they make tikka like that only and it's correct.
They had only 2 servers in entire 100+ cover restaurant on a Saturday night and those servers too were borrowed from coffee shop... so they knew nothing about the restaurant and menu detailing.
To make situation even worse... They had a "Besura and Loud" ghazal singer who was not at all in a mood to sync with his own tabla player and if that wasn't enough.... he didn't even remembered the lyrics of songs that he was singing from the era of Black & White movies.......
