Chennai 9 — Restaurant in Jaipur Municipal Corporation

If there were an option for 0 stars, I’d use it. I ordered a masala dosa from Chennai 9, and what I received was not food — it was a plate of filth. There was a dead insect cooked into the potato filling, clearly visible and embedded in the bite (see photo). It was revolting.

As horrifying as that was, what followed was worse: The staff had the audacity to deny it. No apology. No accountability. Just pure arrogance and denial, like this is normal. If insects crawling into food in their kitchen is “impossible,” then how do they explain the one on my plate? A garnish?

This is not just poor hygiene — this is a complete collapse of basic food safety. They shouldn’t be allowed to serve the public. Their kitchen needs to be shut down and inspected immediately.

To anyone considering eating here: Don’t. Unless you’re okay with unexpected “protein” in your meal and a restaurant that treats customers like fools.

The owner Ms. Pooja is very nice person driven by morals and principals and is very passionate about South Indian Delicacies. Every single item on the menu tastes superb and genuinely authentic. An additional benefit is they use coconut oil and fresh items which makes the dish lightweight and healthy. I recommend their authentic filtered coffee procured straight from Tamil Nadu and Cheese Corn Burst Dosa. I have never tasted anything like...

This is my absolute favorite restaurant in Jaipur if south-indian delicacies are in question..!! . The food is always fantastic and no matter what I order I am always delighted with my meal/dish ! Servers are also great and always efficient, happy and polite. Can’t wait to return and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this amazing eatery CHENNAI 9 to anyone looking for somewhere to eat in... Bon...
