My experience with getting a custom cake made at French bakers was absolute disappointment. I wouldn’t recommend relying on them to take care of the design specially if you’re hosting a big party even after paying twice the amount than other bakeries.

The person taking our order for a 5 pound custom cake seemed like a professional when we talked to him and explained everything what we needed for a welcome baby party cake. However to my utter disappointment nothing from the design came out in the cake when we were picking it up last minute and obviously nothing could have been done then.

The cake was really plain and just had some artificial toppings pasted on it. Nothing to be called custom was made on the cake in terms of design. It was like they made plain cake and pasted some fake objects instead of making those with the icing.
