Terrible Experience at Highway Masala – Disrespectful and Biased Service
I recently visited Highway Masala during a morning breakfast ride, as I often do with my biking group. However, today’s experience left me deeply disappointed and hurt.
Dressed in my biking gear, I called the waiter to place my order. To my shock, he told me, "Bhaiya, aapko parchi banani padegi waha counter se", insisting I pre-pay for my meal. When I questioned this, his excuse was a lack of staff and a large crowd. The irony? The restaurant was practically empty at that time.
What made the situation even worse was seeing a foreign family seated nearby. The same waiter served them without asking for pre-payment and gave them the bill after their meal. This blatant discrimination is unacceptable. It’s shameful that an Indian restaurant in India doesn’t trust its own countrymen, yet goes out of its way to accommodate foreigners.
I’ve been a regular customer here, often visiting with my biking group, and we’ve never been asked to pre-pay before. This selective and disrespectful treatment felt humiliating.
To the management: if you can’t treat your customers equally and with respect, you don’t deserve our business. I will never return to Highway Masala, and I’ll make sure to warn fellow bikers and travelers against this place.

I was pleasantly surprised at the beautiful and spacious "rest and relax" area in the highway. There are an indoor and outdoor seating area at the Highway Masala. The indoor seating is spacious and well-placed and is air-conditioned. All orders need to be placed indoor and paid. I ordered two Chai Thela Special at Rupee60/cup, and the kiosk is on the outside area. We had Pringle at Rupee280 as snack. I went outside and the open-area seating is incredibly nice. We took our Chai Thela from the far end kiosk and walk around the outdoor area. Mio Gelato ice cream is available, even Starbucks coffee. An array of Dried condiments, dried fruits are arranged at the kiosk outside. The parking area is available at the side of the building and is spacious. The toilet is available at the side-end of the building and are well-maintained and clean. It was nice to see the sunset from the...
