Palm Resort on Ratu Road, Ranchi, is one of those places that immediately catches your attention with its lush greenery, spacious layout, and calm environment. Nestled a little away from the busy city center, it truly lives up to its name by giving a resort-like experience rather than just a typical restaurant vibe. The moment you enter, you are greeted with a beautiful garden area, neat pathways, and an inviting atmosphere that feels refreshing and perfect for both family outings and friendly gatherings. The ambience is undoubtedly one of the biggest strengths of Palm Resort. Whether you are seated indoors or enjoying the outdoor garden space, the setting is peaceful, airy, and relaxed, making it an ideal place to spend a leisurely evening. Many visitors also use this venue for small functions, birthdays, and gatherings because of its ample space and banquet facilities, which can accommodate around 50 to 150 people.
Coming to the food, Palm Resort offers mainly North Indian and Mughlai cuisine, with a menu that covers both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes. The starters are a highlight here—tandoori chicken, paneer chilly, fish tikka, and other grilled items are well-prepared, flavorful, and consistently enjoyed by customers. The paneer dishes in particular are fresh and soft, making them a good choice for vegetarians. The main course, on the other hand, receives mixed feedback. While some dishes like butter chicken, dal makhani, and kadhai paneer are tasty and satisfying, there are times when the flavors don’t quite meet expectations, and the consistency of preparation could be improved. Portion sizes are generous, so you usually feel that the food justifies the price, which is moderately set around ₹500 to ₹550 for two people for a casual meal. For events and parties, per-plate charges vary depending on the menu, but it remains a reasonable choice compared to other banquet options in Ranchi.
Service at Palm Resort is generally polite and courteous, and the staff make an effort to assist customers well. However, during peak hours or when events are happening, the service can become a bit slow, which sometimes affects the overall dining experience. Still, most guests agree that the staff are friendly and cooperative, and with a little more attention to speed, the service could match the quality of the ambience. Cleanliness is another positive point. The garden and outdoor seating are usually well-maintained, and the interiors are kept tidy, though occasional lapses in housekeeping have been mentioned in a few reviews. Overall, the hygiene standards are fairly good compared to many other casual dining places in the city.
What sets Palm Resort apart from regular restaurants in Ranchi is its combination of good food, open ambience, and event-hosting capacity. Families enjoy it for its calm setting and spacious design, youngsters find it suitable for casual hangouts, and event organizers appreciate the facilities for small gatherings. While the main course could be made more consistent and service could be a bit faster, the overall experience is pleasant and enjoyable. In short, Palm Resort is more than just a restaurant—it’s a place where you can relax, enjoy good starters, spend quality time with loved ones, and even host memorable events. For anyone in Ranchi looking for a peaceful dining spot away from the city rush, Palm Resort is definitely...

we organized a small get together of around 30-40 people only to face lot of issues and backlash right from no pre preperation so when guests arrived inspite of guests arrival for 30 mins no drinks were served though we had ordered a day in advance and 3 types of drinks. I didnt negotiated on price at all with only one request that service shall be good and better but to our disappointment. obviously they overcharged for everything.
I shall definatley mention the manager saying the guests are not good enough to enjoy food although multiple people from our guest list were regulars for palm resort.
I hope my freinds and family noticed the service , I am not going to organize another...
Read moreOur food, and order was taken care of Mr. Amit, and his attitude was very rough and non cordial. As soon as we took a seat , he was hurrying up for the food order, and told us that we can't take more than 10 mins for ordering food, though it wasn't 10 mins by that time, anyway we order the food, food was very good, and the staff behaviour was rude enough to not decide palm resort for a dining option. All the time we were there, he hurried up until we finished our meal and paid , we couldn't enjoy the dining time, it was like come, order and eat hurrily, pay and get out. He literally signalled us, now you have eaten and paid, so you may go out. I have never faced this kind of behaivour from a restaurant, totally rude...
