Extremely Disappointed - Avoid at All Costs!

I had the unfortunate experience of dining at "Vanakkam," and I must say, it was an absolute disaster from start to finish. I had heard about the ambiance and was excited to try their South Indian cuisine, but I left feeling utterly disappointed and dissatisfied.

Let's start with the ambiance - the only positive aspect of the entire ordeal. The restaurant's decor was pleasant, and the atmosphere was somewhat relaxing. However, that's where the positives end.

The service was beyond abysmal. The staff seemed disinterested and lacked any form of hospitality. Throughout the meal, they rarely checked on us, leaving us feeling neglected and ignored.

Now, let's get to the most critical part - the food, or should I say, the disaster they served us and dared to call "cuisine." The dishes were an insult to South Indian cuisine. The sambar tasted like a diluted, tasteless broth, the dosas were paper-thin and greasy, and the chutneys were a complete joke, lacking any flavor whatsoever.

To make matters worse, the portion sizes were minuscule, and the prices were exorbitant. I wouldn't mind paying a premium for exceptional food, but this was a highway robbery for the disgrace they served on our plates.

The overall experience was so dreadful that I couldn't wait to leave the place. I regret wasting my time and money at "Vanakkam." If you value your taste buds and your hard-earned money, I strongly advise staying away from this restaurant. There are far better South Indian eateries out there that actually respect their customers and serve authentic,...

This place and ambience was really good with superb interiors but their seating arrangement was soo bad and the seats were so uncomfortable the seat to table height ratio was really bad. The food,I ordered dosa which was not up to mark the quality and size wasn't good The sambhar and coconut chutney weren't good too.I ordered parotta kurma also which was nice but still 3/5 for the quality and amount of dish served. The quality of food is why we enter such restaurants and are willing to pay a higher amount but this restaurant isn't at par in terms of food quality and serving size. I won't say it was bad but the price and value of money is not here. If you are a South Indian lover this place is not for you. If you want to casually eat south Indian dishes...

A person needed a South Indian taste must not try this ...the Green chutney...and coconut chutney is not at par....no taste seriously.... Another thing is that please don't order masala uttpam ....u will get the patato masala on the uttpam itself which makes the uttpam wet ...and the crunchyness will go... Another thing is that the waiters will see you continuously...as soon as you are finishing off the food ...they will get you the bill for payment....it's for all customers
