Sagar Restaurant — Restaurant in Junagadh

Came here for dinner a couple of times. The restaurant is located on a side street just off Jayshree Rd. The restaurant is reached via a flight of stairs for sit downs, while the ground floor of the restaurant is used for takeouts.

Inside, the restaurant is decorated in brown, everywhere. The ambience is muted with low lighting and a place where one can have a nice quiet dinner without excessive noise.

The menu is fairly extension and contains the usual array of North Indian, South Indian and the Indian twist of international dishes. I went with the Mysore Masala Dosa and a sweet lassi. I thought the dosa was perfect. Unlike most dosa I’ve had in India, this was not only cut up into convenient pieces for me, each slice had a generous filling. The lassi was also great, it was actually thin enough to drink without my having to water it down.

The service levels here is also fantastic. The waiters are attentive without being intrusive despite the fact that they’re on their feet the whole time because the restaurant is so busy. My coconut chutney nearly finished? A waiter appears to give me another bowl of the chutney. My water nearly all drunk? A waiter comes to fill my glass.

We ordered 2 south Indian dishes of which onion uttapam had foul smell and taste because of summers the onions were smelling weird and the chef put lot of it and we asked to return that item to the serving person he said that chef says it is fine. At the time of billing we asked the cashier/ owner whoever he was that the uttapam was not good he asked the serving guy and with such a bad look on his face he deducted the money of uttapam and returned the rest of the money with an expression like he was giving us any donation or something and he didn't even bothered to apologise it is not about the money but it is about the behavior it was not tolerable such a rude and ill mannered person he was I don't understand how someone hires such ill mannered person into their business and if he was the owner I don't understand how his restaurant is running. I came junagadh for the first time and heard about this place as a "good place" but I don't think there was anything good about this place. PS: sambhar had no taste only chatni...

Very great food and with great service.we recently visited there and in afternoon only Punjabi and Chinese is available which good and yummy 😋 We ordered jain paneer mili juli which was recommended by manager.And Trust me it was very delicious 😋.We liked a lot and it is enough for 3 people.order cheese roti and Tandoori Roti . Chapati is not available here remember. All Ambience , service,food was upto the mark service quick.Place clean vibrant.and very near to Swaminarayan Temple of Junagadh (Siddheshwar Mahadev temple) so easy by walking or rikshaw you go and enjoy like us.In bhavnath and near by uber can't work note that .

Note: Here is one item name consist omlette don't get confused this is pure vegetarian restaurant but by the name it says moong daal ka chilla we talk to owner later he will change the item and all who are reading my review thank you and I only post review on only veg restaurant.
