Mahakumbh Rush Leads to Disappointing Lunch Stop
I stopped at this restaurant for lunch during my journey from Prayagraj to Delhi during the Mahakumbh, based on local recommendations. Unfortunately, my experience was significantly below expectations. While I understand the Mahakumbh brings an influx of customers, the restaurant's altered service model was poorly executed and communicated.
The primary issue was the lack of clear signage or communication regarding the change in service. Customers were left to decipher the new system, which involved self-ordering, self-collection of food, cutlery, and condiments. This lack of guidance created confusion and frustration.
Furthermore, the portion sizes were extremely disappointing. The curry I ordered was insufficient for even two butter naans, forcing me to purchase a second dish. Similarly, the dessert presentation was misleading. A 'plate' of gulab jamun and rasmalai consisted of only one piece of each, despite the standard being two. The pricing, however, reflected standard portions, making the experience feel like poor value.
On the positive side, the restaurant offers ample car parking, clean washrooms, and a comfortable dining area. However, the billing counter experience was subpar. The person managing the counter seemed unfamiliar with the ordering process and required constant guidance from other staff, suggesting a lack of proper training or suitability for the role.
In conclusion, while I appreciate the challenges posed by the Mahakumbh, the restaurant's failure to adequately communicate and implement its altered service model, coupled with inadequate portion sizes and a disorganized billing process, resulted in a disappointing lunch experience. Clear signage and better staff training are essential for improving customer satisfaction during...

I thought it would be good experience when visiting Deepu Chauhan Restaurant, but unfortunately, the experience was far from pleasant. The first thing was the unprofessional behavior of the staff. They were rude, unorganized, and seemed completely indifferent to customer service. The hygiene standards were too low—both the male and female restrooms were very very dirty, and to make matters worse, the female and male restroom didn’t even have a proper lock due to which my family suffered, This is unacceptable for any establishment, let alone a restaurant that claims to provide a good dining experience. The menu prices are significantly higher than what the food and specially facilities actually deserves. It feels like they are overcharging without justifying the cost with either quality or service. And despite the high prices, you still have to do self-service! someone should cancel their licence. But don’t expect smooth service here either—your order is simply placed at the counter, and it’s your responsibility to pick it up. If you need anything extra, like an additional chapati, good luck finding someone responsible enough to help. There is no proper management, and the staff just shouts around instead of assisting customers properly.
Overall, the place lacks professionalism, hygiene, and basic customer service. Definitely not worth the money or the hassle. Wouldn’t recommend...
Read moreI normally avoid writing negative about anything but here i feel obliged. Food prices are too expensive, they overcharge for everything, for example they'd pour 20rs coca cola soda into the glass and voilà it's 50rs, okay they add a straw too. Now the behavior, i was talking to someone on call so i leaned back on the chair and closed my eyes, literally talking, and this man came up to me and said don't sit like that in here or go sit outside, cool. This was the same person that told me to move to the tables nearby to counters or they won't be able to serve at the back corner, i love corner tables, i was amazed, i asked why but, you probably guessed it, i was ignored. I wanted to leave then and there but there's no other place nearby and i was there for my brothers exam being conducted just to the adjacent building. See they take advantage of people who come from far to these exam centres, they don't care about you but money. They probably own the the exam centre as well, you're forced to come in as there's nothing else here except these two buildings, no shade, nothing. I suppose you're not reading this to see if you should come to this place, rather you're stuck here for the lack of substitutes, so i ask you this, write up these scammers, that's the least we...
