I recently stopped at Amar Only Veg, a pure vegetarian restaurant in Nipani conveniently located on NH-4, just before the turnoff toward Goa. It’s a fantastic choice for travelers and locals alike.

This pure vegetarian eatery has a great location on the hillock of Stavanidhi near Nipani in Belgavi district. It is in the vicinity of Maharashtra border.It is just besides the national highway. It is owned by a Jain family and is just opposite to Tawndi Bharmappa (Brahmadev) temple which is the holy place for the Jain devotees.

This eatery has ample covered and non-covered parking space. It has a decent hall for small function celebrations. Its washrooms are well maintained and clean.

It offers a variety of breakfast, snacks and meals dishes. We had a sumptuous lunch here on the very first day of June 2025. We waited for just five minutes to get seated for our lunch. We relished on Hara Bhara Kababs, Veg. Angoori, Lasuni Methi, Kanda Besan, Matki Usal, roasted Papad, hot Chapatis, Ghee rice, Dal Khichdi and buttermilk. Food quality was up to the mark. There is certainly a scope for improvement in the taste of a few items like Dal Khichdi and Lasuni Methi. Whereas Veg. Angoori, the ghee rice and the buttermilk were delicious !

The service was quick. The waiters are polite. The staff is courteous and can speak in Marathi. The Mukhwas contained non roasted Sounf and Khadisakhar granules. Actually roasted Sounf should be served.
