When you leave Nanjangud town, the first landmark is the Kalale Temple Gate on your right. Kalale is small village known for its famous temple and the annual car festival here is very popular among Hindus. The gate is painted yellow and there are the shapes of five deities on top of it with one goddess in the middle. There are many pitstops on the way like the Anand Restaurant at Kalale gate. The road is on a barren land but there are a few banana plantations and coocnut plantations. Most of the space on the sides of the road are occupied by granite sellers.
There is a Kerala restaurant called Manju Kairali here and one Karnataka restaurant called Nanjangud Suruchi. There is one big pitstop with blue roof and it is called K.M.Park Restaurant. The next village is called Sindhuvallipura with a statue of Dr.Ambedkar declaring the lower caste domination of the area. There are sugarcane and banana plantations in the village. The next pitstop is a big restaurant called New Malabar cafe with seating both inside and outside the facility. The next landmark is a Kerala eatery called Shwetha restaurant.
Both sides of the road are uninhabited with no sign of villages anywhere. Kitturani Residential school is on your left and Begur town welcomes you with restaurants like Amrutha, Ambika and Surya. There is a school here called Sri Acharya Gurukula. One restaurant is cutely called ‘1985’ and there are banana plantations on either side of the road. The Ernad Restaurant and the white building of the SNS College of Nursing is on the right side.
Morarji Desai residential school and Coffee Stop Restaurant are on the left side. Coffee Stop is the favorite pit-stop of buses from Kerala as Thalasseri food is given here. There is a hotel called Indraprastha here followed by one Yatheesh bar. Now you are inside the Gundlupet town with its Udupi vegetarian restaurant and Ganga Bar. There is a hotel here called Gateway Karnataka which appears to be quite expensive. The stadium of the town is very impressive with concrete gallery seats facing...

Friendly Baristas: The staff was welcoming and attentive, making sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed. They were also helpful in navigating the limited menu. Convenient Location: Situated right on the main road, the cafe is easily accessible and offers ample parking space.
Misses:
Unpleasant Ambiance: Unfortunately, the cafe had a stale smell that permeated the air, detracting from the overall mood. The furniture seemed a bit worn and lacked the cozy charm I expect from a CCD outlet.
Limited Menu: My hopes for a uitgebreid coffee and snack selection were dashed by the restricted menu. Many of the usual CCD offerings were missing, leaving me with fewer choices than I'd hoped for.
Cafe Coffee Day, Gundelpet, is a decent option for a quick caffeine fix if you're in the area. However, the underwhelming ambiance and limited menu might leave you wanting more. If you're seeking a truly inviting and flavorful coffee experience in Gundelpet, I'd recommend exploring other...
Read more1 star only for the washroom they have in the restaurant. We reached around 7 AM and the staff was nowhere near the cafe. We waited for sometime, went to the washroom and cameback and never seen anyone. After a couple of minutes the guy cane and when we asked for the order he didn't even mind us and was budy doing something inside thier room. After a couple of times asking him, he took the order and the coffee delivered was the worst I had in my life. Even an amateur who is making the coffee for the first time would be 10 times better. The staff was always on the phone roaming outisde the cafe with zero respect or welcoming attitude towards customers. The first staff was replaced by another guy around 7.30 AM and I think this is just another place you guys can use just for the washroom and...
