Date of visit was on Feb 27, 2025 and we were two people for lunch. Visited around 2:00pm or 2:15pm. I have been a foodie and review places on their quality of food and service but .....Fire Bong amazed me it its inefficiency. It was a strange feeling ...such a disappointing level of service in such a nice ambience. And the reasons for our disappointment were so basic that it certainly appears that either they are no managers of if they are they really don't care about the level of service. First of all, the service is horrendously bad is because the people who serve you aren't waiters...they all are Nepali watchmen, gardners, cleaners....frankly because they just don't know how to serve you or welcome you. Right from the start, before coming there, first call to them was unanswered and then they called back and said "Yeeeesssss?" Next, rude watchman (or head waiter) about the parking (which by the way is not indicated correctly. Singh mansion and Fire Bong - what do we know they both are the same. Then buffet setting for lunch and no buffet. Menu is a scan code to view on mobile - feels like I'm in a drive through. There are flies everywhere who gladly want to share your food. No water bottle and no glasses were either on the table or given later. Finally plates were given....cheap plastic plates, like in a mess or in a cafeteria. We ordered noodles and pasta...no soya sauce, no ketchup....not even forks were given. Now comes the weird part...almost at the end of the meal, I turned around and saw all the waiters, workers and staff sitting down at the tables with us and having a finger - licking lunch!! Wow! So I ate my lunch along with Fire Bong's workers!! I have never felt so insulted and revolted before to see my Nepali head waiter licking his fingers clean of rice and dal. Ordered ice cream - served with a wooden stick. Maybe steel spoons aren't purchased as they promote eating by hands maybe? No goodbye, no one at reception. Felt like I was eating on a railway platform joint. Place is open air, beautiful and well maintained but...yeah flies will attack. What a...
