Freddy's Restro Cafe — Restaurant in Karnataka

A really cozy and fun resto bar that will allow you to have a good time! The place is very conveniently located and easy to get to, and is on the top floor of the establishment. There is indoor seating (no smoking) and outdoor terrace seating (full smoking) allowed. The first thing that will hit you is the American bar theme with a sporty touch! There is even a pool table available and the seating is both comfortable and well setup. It’s a refreshing ambiance and the place also comes with a large screen which is perfect to enjoy a football or cricket game. There are small tv sets available outside in the terrace area as well.

The place serves beer and all types of alcohol. They even have wines, shots and a variety of cocktails and mocktails as part of the menu! The cocktails are surprisingly good and have a generous amount of alcohol in them, and are really well presented too! It seems the place also occasionally offers hukka but we did not ask or try that one.

The music played is decent and not too loud either. It allows one to enjoy the music and at the same time have a good conversation as well. There is no dance floor though.

The food served is also quite delicious. Be it the starters, local style like ghee roast or American nachos and fries or the grilled and tikka items, they are well prepared and feel fresh. The sea food dishes are also awesome and I recommend trying out the local delicacies. The fish feels fresh and tastes awesome.

Overall this is a great place to visit with friends esp if there is a big game going on. The atmosphere is great, the crowd during the games is good and it guarantees a good time. Otherwise the place can be a bit quiet in terms of the vibes, but having good company will make all...

The food here is fantastic. I visited this place because I was a regular to Freddys in Dubai and the Brahmavara branch far exceeded my expectations! I especially drive down from Karkala to have the Chinese food here

The reason it loses one star is because of the behavior of the staff who reserve all the tables inspite of the restaurant being virtually empty during weekday noons. On the last occasion I went there with my mother and they asked us not to use the sofa seats claiming it was reserved. I showed displeasure against this and they relented. We were there for more than an hour and ours was the only table they were serving, which made their behavior earlier even more comical

Nonetheless the chef is doing a good job and I wouldn't mind driving back for such...

The town was always in need of a restaurant with such atmosphere and now Freddy's has filled that void well. This should inspire other restaurateurs to step up the game in terms of setup and service. The waiters are polite, responsive, cater to your needs patiently. They serve food to your plates which is a rarity in restaurants in Manipal. However, not everything was applaudable. The food tasted underwhelming for a brand of such standards. Chicken Garlic was a bit too sweet which overpowered the essence of Garlic and lacked heat from Chillies.
