House Of Momos And Noodles — Restaurant in Karnataka

Pros: Good tasting food (gave one star for the same)

Cons: Behaviour of the staff: (Are they paying TAXES?)

me and my friend finished eating, very politely. Then, very politely we placed the cash in the payment book (whatever they handover for paying bill, fancy stuff). Then very politely we went towards the counter and there's one man who's serving and taking care of stuff which basic staff ain't able to attend,

I asked, "sir, is this your authentic bill" as the bill did not have any specifications related to tax they were /not paying.

And my goodness, the drama the succeeded! He became angry for a very polite genuine question from the customer. Isn't it my right to know this? I can't ask or what?

He started blabbering trying to HUMILIATE us in order to make us look like FOOLS (which we didn't feel, fine, next).

He said, A. I don't know what you are talking about.

(he stopped attending us and we had to wait for him ~ we wasted our time so that he could catch some patience and courage)

B. You're the only one customer since I'm working who's asking this

(how do I stand invalidated if I'm the only one?)

C. Who are you to ask that? Are you an income tax officer?

(I'm just baffled! 🙄)

D. What tax you're talking about?

E. Complain to whoever you want. He insisted in his behaviour that after eating and paying we leave the place ASAP. HE argued that he's not required to pay any tax whatsoever. He's registered.

There were 2 papers stuck behind the counter, on the wall, which he challenged me take picture of and complain to the highest of authority.

Then we paraphrased the question, very politely, calm and composed, "Can we show this bill to Govt. Office and claim a renumeration? Is the bill valid in such a case?"

He lowered the intensity his disordered behaviour and said, "oh! That is what you want! Okay! Okay! Take this! Write whatever you want. I don't care."

He then handed over another empty bill (arrogantly) which carried nothing more than fssai code. He asked us to fill the amount of our choice as if he's no responsible for any fraud in renumeration (if at all that happens).

I asked him to sign the empty bill at least. After waiting enough to loose patience, he came back after attending his new customers and rudely scribbled something and disappeared blabbering something.

And we left to excuse ourselves of stress and anxiety.

GENERAL QUESTIONS FOR ALL CUSTOMERS

Is this why a peaceful minded person steps out to enjoy good food? Was it necessary to get highly anxious about a poor question on TAX? Are you supposed to become an income tax officer to enquire about correct bill? Should I take my taste buds to a Rollercoaster compromising on my dignity? First thing i observed is he had kept spicy, sweet garlic and tomato sauce at the table along with soy, chilli sauce and vinegar, so that you wouldn't have to run behind the staffs for any requirement. We ordered Veg fried momos, paneer momos tossed in schezwan sauce, Chinese veg choupsey, dates pancake. Momos were yummy which went good with the sauces. The stuffings were also good in amount. Service is excellent. The owner is an amazing person very friendly very polite. But the cook doesn't know to cook without putting MSG( Ajinomotto) into any dish. Even after informing not to add MSG the cook will add it as he knows without that his cooking skills will be exposed. Quantity is sufficient and well served. Barring a few dishes like momos , every dish that is there has MSG. It is one of the biggest health hazard. Inspite of the owner telling him the cook adds MSG.
