Kalpataru Grand — Restaurant in Karnataka

The restaurant and party hall is an utter joke.

Never book a party hall here. The restaurant and Party hall staffs are very rude to the people attending the party. Even the watchman is so rude and they never let us park our vehicles in the party hall parking space. So no parking is available for the people attending party. Even though they had multiple rooms, manager/Owner provided just one single room for both parties and asked to adjust with it. Watchman will pull and throw your bike out if you park in their space while attending the party.

Even though the party hall had music system, management never turn on the speakers.

Management will not allow any welcome soft drinks in the party hall stating that their tiles floor might get dirty.( I don’t think they have proper staff to clean the party hall).

When management wants us to vacate the party hall, they simply turn off the AC and make everyone suffocate in the hall and leave the hall ASAP. The party hall is on 3rd floor, Room in 4th floor and dining in 2nd floor. In order to attend a party, you need to become a lift operator here.

Now, They charged us 350₹ per food and provided the worst vegetarian food ever. If you try to complain, They simply state like either have party, eat same food and leave OR simply have party and leave without eating( Still they won’t refund for the food).

This party hall and management is overrated and doesn’t deserve even a single star. I am still surprised to see the ratings with such worst service and food.

First thing first - you will love the tea here. Must try if you happen to stop by at Tiptur or travelling on a Bengaluru-Shivamogga highway and want to have a quick bite refreshments. Even the snacks and lunch that we had here was delicious. The restaurant has a great ambience with separate hall for a serviced-dine and even a separate storey hall for business meet and dine. The staff working there were courteous. I also had a one night stay here in the hotel room - the room was clean, had a decent ambience and an air conditioning facility. However, the room was not equipped with basic facilities such as towel, soap etc. beforehand, and I had to call the owner repeatedly to make the required stuff available. Also the dial-in phone facility was not working. Despite lacking all this, they charged some handsome amount for a night stay which was definitely not a worth. Cost is not fair,for Tiptur it's very costly,there were other annoying ppl who celebrated birthday in an open place..this embarrassed all others whoever were there here. There are no generator facilities here..I had to wait for 1 hour to get a bill. Initially, they had given a manual bill, which had nearly 50rs difference. This hotel has got AC but still it was very hot inside. The quantity of food served is too low and not worth the amount. The only thing I liked is that the place is kept clean.But my suggestion is 'please don't go to this worst hotel'.Only if you have enough black money you can visit this place.
